General

  • Small family-run site in Snowdonia National Park
  • At the foot of Harlech Castle
  • Within walking distance of the beach

Woodlands Park in Harlech is a small, select, carefully developed, family-run park of outstanding quality. There's a sense of peace that you only find at smaller caravan parks, yet it's within walking distance of the beach, town centre and mini supermarket.

It is situated within the Snowdonia National Park directly at the foot of Harlech Castle (built way back in c.1290 AD) and now a designated World Heritage Site. The castle and its beautiful waterfall offer an impressive backdrop to this peaceful little getaway.

Facilities at the touring park include free wifi, heated toilet and shower blocks with shaver points, a laundry room, dishwashing facilities, bottled gas and a small library. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge.

Lovely site that sits below Harlech Castle. Site staff were all very friendly and helpful, and clean well kept toilet and shower block. The site is close to some nice walks and the beach is across the road the other side of the golf course. All in all a nice friendly place to stay for a short break

we loved this site at Harlech Castle. It was our first (of many) visits to Wales. We arrived very late in the middle of a rain storm & couldn't see the site so phoned Chris who was extremely helpful & welcoming. He had been called to another site but left our paperwork, wifi password and instructions for our pitch, with a very helpful man who stays on site. Next morning Chris checked to make sure we were ok and gave us directions for the shops and pubs the town has to offer. what a wonderful place. We simply didn't want to leave. !!!

Nothing wrong with camp site and people was nice, but there wasn’t much to do.The town was up the steepest hill and if you need to eat out ,that’s where you had to trek up the hill,as i have bad knees anyway the hills made them worse. Also outside the campsite was disappointing

The hills/ view outside the campsite was unattractive

From the manager...

Hello and thank you for your enquiry.

I'm sorry to read that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. Can I just point out that there are two pubs located less than 100 yards from the park serving both food and drinks. These establishments are on the same level as Woodlands and can be reached (on foot) without the need to walk up any hills. In addition we also have a small supermarket and of course the beach within easy walking distance.

There is a steep hill to walk up if you are looking to take in the sights of "Upper Harlech", with it's imposing Castle (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and fantastic views. However the walk isn't for everyone which is why the local council has put on a shuttle bus service from the local swimming pool (approx 2 minutes walk along the beach road) into the centre of town. The shuttle bus is priced at £1 per adult and 50p per child, we provide timetables for the bus in customers welcome pack and the serivce is advertised around the park.

Thanks again for staying with us, all the best
