What customers say
This well-managed, peaceful campsite offers beautiful riverside pitches and is praised for its cleanliness and friendly staff. Facilities are good and well-maintained, with a campers' kitchen available. Its location provides easy access to local shops and walking trails. While some guests noted road noise and limited Wi-Fi signal at pitches, many found the tranquil atmosphere and stunning scenery ideal for a relaxing break.

Liked Loved the location, the set up was very clean and the site was very well managed. Facilities were good and would definitely return here again - a drying room would be the icing on the cake.

Electric grass tent or campervan pitch (riverside)
Liked Really easy to find our pitch on arrival, and it was juts as described. Facilities all clean and easy walk. Close to Dolgellau for small shops, pubs for meals etc. Lots of trails locally. Also not far from Fairbourne for an evening stroll on the beach.
Disliked The electric hook up needed a very long lead which we didn’t have long enough for so we were without electric. Could have done with telling us the length needed for our pitch.

Electric grass tent or campervan pitch (riverside)
Liked Lovely campsite! We stayed on the river bank pitch which is the best place, fantastic right next to the river which my girls loved playing in the river.
Clean toilets and showers.
Not far from local town 10 min drive which was handy for a shop near by (spar)
Lovely walks around and lucky to see the planes fly over!
Disliked No dislikes about the place or the facilities, however cutting down the swing near the river where all the children from the campsite were having great fun on it. Until 1 person moans about it being a bit dangerous ( or moaning the children were making noise outside their tent ) yes it was a bit risky but you guys had a sign up saying use at your own risk! So why put a sign up saying that and cut it down because of one person!
My children were gutted and quite annoyed about it and so were we, and you asked for children to keep noise down but they are children, it was absolutely fantastic to see children enjoying themselves outside, being what children use to be like instead of sitting with their iPads these days! So to cut that swing down was quite pathetic!!

Location…
Middle field non-electric grass pitch
Liked Location
Disliked 90% of the campsite were permanent caravans. A well as the caravan and awning, they had gardens, garden sheds, gazebo's, garden ornaments, lights. It was far from the back to basics quiet site advertised. It was like home from home with lawnmowers and strimmers being used late into the evening, far from peaceful.
It said no campfires unless you were by the river, and dogs on a lead, which we were happy with, however, this didn't seem to apply to the permanents who had campfires and dogs roaming free. Very disappointed with the whole look of the site. Also there was a very long notice explaining all the different recycling but, the majority of people were just throwing all rubbish in the same green wheelie bin!
Bethan was however very understanding and helped resolve the situation, and listened to our complaint professionally, so thank you Bethan.

Liked Camp site was clean, basic and peaceful
Stayed on a pitch near the riverbank
Arrived and realised our electric hook lead was too short!
Lady in reception kindly gave us an extension to use during our stay.
Facilities were clean and well kept
If you arrive out of hours there is a board to notify you of your pitch number and contact number if you have any problems.
WIFI available in the campers kitchen!
Absolutely stunning part of wales, Lake Bala roughly 20mins down the road
It’s quite a small site, so wherever you pitch your not far from facilities
Would 100% visit again
