Jeff and Shirley welcome you to Parc Elernion in north Wales: a small quiet park at the base of The Rivals (Yr Eifl ) which rise 1,700 feet behind the site. The site is a short walk from a lovely little sandy beach with a harbour , and has direct access to the Wales Coast Path. It's surrounded by 52 acres of woodland: a diverse mixture of scrub, grassland and streams provide biodiversity for wildlife including bats and badgers and many flowers including bluebells. The site is a short drive to historic castles and villages along the Welsh coast. A drive inland will take you to Mount Snowdon with its railway if you don’t fancy the climb. A toilet and shower block and a laundry room were added in 2016.

Local attractions

The park is a short walk from the fishing village of Trefor, with its shop, pub/club, harbour and beach. This is a top place for walkers: it's adjacent to the Welsh Coastal Path with direct access to 52 acres of woodland, and a 10-minute drive to the spectacular restored Welsh language centre which is a wonderful place to start from (and have a coffee overlooking the sea). You'll have access to mountains, woodlands, rivers, ponds and beaches – everything is located within a short distance. For culture vultures the site is within easy reach of Caernarfon, Porthmadoc and Pwllheli. Gwynedd hosts several music festivals and the agricultural shows are not to be missed. Go karting, 10-pin bowling, wakeboarding and archery are available at Glasfryn Parc, a couple of miles away. The local town of Pwllheli is about six miles away, with shops, pubs, restaurants, a marina and an amusement park.
