When you stay at Aros Glan Morfa, you’ll be in a peaceful countryside setting yet still only 15 minutes’ walk from all the sightseeing attractions, restaurants and shops of historic Caernarfon, in North Wales. This five-acre, family-run site sits along the River Seiont, surrounded by trees and wildflowers, and backed by the spectacular mountains of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). If you fancy making a deep (re)connection with nature, book the eco-friendly outdoor bath, filled with spring water and heated by seasoned logs from the grounds of the property. It occupies a prime woodland spot right on the riverbank – how’s that for a unique experience? Please note that an extra charge is involved, and that the bath takes a good two or three hours to heat up. It’s well worth it, though, and you can always indulge in a little wild swimming in the Seiont while you wait. Signposts will lead you to the small pebble beach. The site is also handily situated within easy reach of Eryri’s walking, cycling and climbing routes (15 minutes’ drive) and expeditions across the Menai Strait to Anglesey (15 minutes), plus the Llŷn Peninsula (20 minutes) and day trips along the pretty coastline of Gwynedd.

Take a leisurely stroll into town (15 minutes’ walk, or a five-minute drive) and visit Caernarfon Castle, overlooking the mouth of the Seiont. Along with Beaumaris and other Welsh castles built by King Edward I in the 13th century, this well-preserved structure with multisided towers is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and pretty impressive. The Britannia Bridge (15 minutes’ drive) crosses the Menai Strait and takes you to Anglesey. Once on the island, bear left to reach National Trust - Plas Newydd House and Gardens, with its 129 acres of parkland (where you might catch a glimpse of red squirrels), the Rhododendron Garden and a monumental mural painted in the 1930s by Rex Whistler. If you’re into vintage planes, the Airworld Aviation Museum (15 minutes), on a former RAF airfield, delivers in spades, with aircraft on display ranging from World War II fighters to helicopters used for mountain rescues, plus a replica of the pioneering Blériot monoplane.

Liked Liked their private land. Right by the stream with swimming access.
Offers sauna and cold pod at extra cost and you have to pre book

Disliked The pitch for campers is a small car park space not an actual camping pitch.
In the morning people arrive for their booked sauna. Cars pulled up next to our camping space, early morning, opening and shutting car doors, talking and laughing out loud. My partner woke up due to this, and when he went to use the bathroom facilities he couldn't enter because all the ladies were getting changed in the same sex toilet/shower building. I did complain and they did open the middle toilet/shower room, after the fact! I do not like the idea of being in the shower and a man walking in to do his business! I found the owners to be disengaged with us.
My partner and I have PTSD and trauma pain so we like to get out of city and into nature often. We don't drink and enjoy the peace the countryside offers.
We will not be coming back to this property again.
Would must definitely come back to the area. Beautiful Town

We are almost ready to open the female side so we can seperate the facilities.
It was a particularly lively bunch that visited the sauna at 9am, we have now moved the sauna parking seperate from the campervan area.

River View Canvas Trailer Tent ready tent (riverside)

Liked Our stay was wonderous.

The environment is really lovely and relaxed - constant sound of the river. The tent was nice and spacious. We really enjoyed wild swimming! I made three herbal remedies on the fire. All instructions for fire wood and payment were very clear.
The owners were very responsive when I had questions and generally nice people.
