North Wales seaside camping, caravan site and holiday cottage on the Llyn peninsula. Snowdonia and all other North Wales major attractions close by. The site adjoins a private beach which is safe for bathing and there is access for boat launching. There are 15 acres of valley grounds, 5 acres of which are sheltered, level pitches. The toilet block has showers and shaving points, the site has water points, electric hook ups and chemical disposal points. Laundry and dishwashing facilities are available and a small site shop during the main holiday period. There is also a holiday cottage/bungalow available for rent on site. The surroundings are altogether delightful, with panoramic views and seascape, which lend themselves to a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation and is ideal for children.

Route directions

Approaching from Caernarfon, take the coast road south for 9 miles towards the village of Clynnog-Fawr, proceed for a further 1 mile to the hamlet of Gyrn Goch, as you drive through, you will see a brown tourist sign indicating Aberafon 300yards ahead on the right, a further brown sign indicates the narrow entrance gateway, go through the gateway and follow the track down to the cattle grid, this is ABERAFON. Approaching from Pwllheli, take the A499 road to Caernarfon for 7 miles, you will see the road signs for Trefor on your left, carry on the A499 for a further 2 miles until you see a brown Aberafon tourist sign, the entrance is 200 yards on the left, through a narrow gateway.

There is very good sea and river fishing available in the locality, also excellent mountain and coastal walks. The site is at the foot of the mountain (Gyrn Goch) 1,500ft., also near the Yr Eifl mountains which sweep majestically down to the sea. The hamlet of Gyrn Goch is on the A499 road and lies 10 miles south of Caernarfon and 9 miles north of Pwllheli. Snowdonia National Park and all other North Wales major attractions close by It is adjacent to the Llyn Peninsula and the whole of Snowdonia and in easy reach of all of North and Mid Wales.
