What customers say
This is a well-maintained, friendly campsite with a great location for exploring North Wales and Anglesey. Visitors praise the spacious pitches, clean facilities, and helpful staff. While most experiences are positive, some mention dated shower facilities and occasional issues with water temperature or pressure. A few guests noted noise from nearby roads or other campers, and some found the site busy during peak times. The presence of alpacas is a unique highlight for many.

A regular and favourite of mine!
Non-electric grass tent pitch (solo)
Liked The pitch, the shade, the birdsong, the location, walking over the Menai Bridge and right next to a nature reserve - and just how friendly everyone was.

I don’t wish to be negative but this site could be a lot better.
Electric hardstanding pitch
Liked Not much, we arrived around 18.30 and sat by the electric gate for around 10 mins waiting for someone to answer the phone to give us the entrance code. We were only here for one night but were directed to a most narrow space for our motorhome. Shower block was so disgusting we could not use. There are a lot of seasonal caravan pitches here so it felt like a ghost town.
Disliked The shower block. Come on, I am sure that could be improved.

From the manager: Thank you for your review.
Our office closes at 5:00pm. For guests arriving after this time, the telephone number is clearly displayed on the entrance gate. Every guest also receives an arrival email from Pitchup asking them to call approximately 30 minutes before arrival for the current gate code, as it changes regularly for security reasons.
You mention waiting around 10 minutes for the gate code. While we always aim to answer calls as quickly as possible, it is not always possible to answer the phone immediately if we are already assisting another customer. This is precisely why guests are asked to call around 30 minutes before they arrive. The arrival instructions are clearly provided in the emails sent by Pitchup. If those instructions are not read or followed, we cannot accept responsibility for any delays that may result on arrival.
Regarding your comment that “the shower block could be improved”, our Pitchup listing includes photographs of our shower and toilet facilities, allowing guests to see exactly what to expect before making a booking. If the facilities were not to your liking, that information was available before your reservation was made. Had there been a genuine cleanliness issue during your stay, we would have appreciated the opportunity to address it at the time rather than only reading about it afterwards.
You also commented that the park felt like a “ghost town”. Our Pitchup listing clearly shows that we are predominantly a seasonal caravan park, and many guests choose us specifically because they enjoy the quieter atmosphere.
We make every effort to accurately describe our park through photographs, facilities, maps and descriptions so guests know exactly what they are booking before they arrive. We would much rather guests book knowing our park is the right fit for them than arrive expecting something different to what has always been advertised.
Would not go back
Electric grass pitch
Liked It looked nice when you first drive though the gates
Disliked The shower blocks were disguising looked like they have never been clean the floor was so dirty and people were allowed to bring there dogs in the shower

Great little site with space and in a reasonably quiet location
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked They allowed me late arrival which made it easier for me. I liked the price during the week for one night £20 was very good, without electric.
Location is also good for access to Anglesey and East towards Llandudno/Snowdonia.
There are a couple of pubs within about 20 minutes walk.
Disliked The are limited showers (2) and toilets so I expect in a busy period you would probably have to wait for a shower to be free. The building was clean and tidy but the mop left in a bucket of dirty water didn't encourage me to mop the floor in the shower (which i did reluctantly).

Helpful and friendly staff. Great value for money. Will stay again.
Non-electric grass tent pitch (solo)
Liked The staff were very kind to allow me to arrive late due to my ferry crossing. On arrival, everything was easy to figure out with the signage and I had a lovely pitch location for an overnight.

Plenty of room, near A55, Bangor…
Non-electric grass tent pitch (solo)
Liked Plenty of room, near A55, Bangor and Caernarfon . Toilets shower and washing up facilities good. Also use of fridge, kettle and microwave was very thoughtful.
Disliked Had to phone for the gate code. This is very awkward if you are driving, you may have to stop and call the site . In my case the signal was poor and I struggled to hear. It would be better if the code and where to pitch came in an email the day before you due to arrive.
