  • Spacious site a short drive from Eryri/Snowdonia National Park
  • Within easy reach of beaches, watersports and a mountain railway
  • Barbecues welcome and several supermarkets within easy reach
Seeking a sojourn within easy reach of the smashingly spectacular Eryri/Snowdonia National Park? Close to several splendid beaches and within easy reach by car or bike from several towns for foodie spots and cosy pubs? Treborth Hall Farm Caravan Site should, then, tick off a fair few of your Welsh holiday boxes. This peaceful walled park is a 20-minute walk from the Anglesey Isle town of Menai Bridge, home to several traditional pubs and other eateries for off-site sips and scoffs. You can be in Bangor on your bike in 15 minutes too, or hop in the car and be there in less than 10; highly beau Beaumaris is bikeable too – reach it in a little over half an hour on two wheels, or be there in half the time on four. When it comes to stuff for kids to do, they’ve got reams of room to roam freely around, plus a play area too should they require fun structures to clamber on; for a spot of gentle grownup activity, there's a public footpath just outside that forms a loop connecting to the Wales Coast Path, which in turn provides access to Treborth Botanic Garden. For food on site you’re more than welcome to get a barbecue going – several supermarkets are within easy reach around the nearby towns for all your sizzling supplies, and there are also lots of pubs, restaurants and takeaways too. Among the on-site amenities are toilets and two shower blocks with coin-operated showers with plenty of piping-hot water.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked The chemical disposal facility.

Disliked Very disappointing experience, largely due to the owner’s attitude. Hospitality and basic customer service seem to be unfamiliar concepts here. I would strongly advise that the owner take a customer service course before welcoming any more guests. Unsurprisingly, the hygiene standards are no more impressive than the hospitality.

From the manager: Thank you for your review.

After checking your booking, we can confirm that you had booked a non-electric grass pitch, despite telling a member of our team on arrival that you had booked an electric grass pitch. As a result, you were initially shown to an electric pitch in good faith.

When we later checked your booking and realised the mistake, we politely explained that you had booked a non-electric pitch and asked you to move to the correct pitch. You then said that you could not understand what we were saying. While we appreciate that language barriers can sometimes arise, this is unfortunately beyond our control, and we remained polite and professional throughout.

Your comments about my customer service are completely at odds with the feedback we receive from hundreds of other guests. We are proud to have some of the highest ratings in the area, and our reviews consistently reflect the friendly and helpful service we provide.

We believe your review is an unfair reflection of what actually happened. We simply asked you to move onto the pitch that had been booked and paid for.

Based on your review and the experience during your stay, we do not feel our park is the right fit for your expectations, and we would respectfully decline any future booking from you.

We wish you all the best in finding a site more suited to your needs.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (solo)

Liked Opportunity to pick where I wanted to pitch

Disliked Where do I start!
The shower block/ toilets were disguising, no toilet paper for the entire time I was there. Only two showers and one of them was locked shut for the duration of my stay. The button for the shower is on the outside, says you get 5-7 minutes but takes at least 2 for the shower to heat up! Very silly system!
Apart from being met by reception on the day I arrived, I didn’t see another staff the entire time. The reception was closed every time I went past (way before 5pm!). Unable to inform member of staff of issues as no one around and no one answered the phone when I phoned the number on reception door!
Was told there was another shower/toilet block near the camping fields - had warning tape across so clearly not in use.
No signal or WiFi anywhere (not the campsites fault, but had checked beforehand as was a solo female and was assured there was ‘good signal’)
Was told there was a warden around the site - again, didn’t see once and warden caravan didn’t look used.
Food/drink truck closed the duration of my stay.
Communal areas were gross ~ unable to use microwave as it was so dirty.
There was police at the campsite half way through the stay - felt very unsafe at this campsite so decided to cut trip short and leave.
I wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.

We find it disappointing that you chose to post anonymously, as we strongly disagree with many of the comments made in your review.

During your stay, we had two site managers, Barry and Eddie, as well as two other members of staff, on the park every day. Barry and Eddie not only manage the site but also carry out maintenance work throughout the park. At the time of your stay, our team was dealing with a significant water leak to restore the water supply for one of our residents, so staff were working across the park while remaining available to assist guests.

You stated that you were unable to report any of these issues to a member of staff. We find that difficult to understand, as there were four members of staff on the park throughout your stay. Our office door is always open during opening hours, and if a member of the team is away from the office assisting elsewhere on the park, our telephone system automatically diverts calls to them. There is therefore always someone available to help.

We also find it difficult to understand why you chose to post your review anonymously. You say you wanted to raise your concerns with a member of staff, yet by remaining anonymous you have made it impossible for us to identify you or investigate the issues you have described.

You also mention that there was no toilet paper. Our toilet and shower facilities are checked regularly throughout the day, with spare toilet rolls always available. The communal microwave and toaster are only a few months old and are cleaned regularly, so we were surprised by your comments regarding their condition.

You also referred to the second toilet block being closed. We believe you may have mistaken our brand-new facility, which is still being prepared for use. The operational toilet and shower block is located immediately next to it.

You also commented about the lack of Wi-Fi and mobile signal. We do not advertise that we provide Wi-Fi anywhere on the park, nor do we guarantee mobile phone signal, as this varies between different network providers. We are therefore unsure where the information came from that you had been assured there was “good signal”, as this is not something we advertise or guarantee.

Regarding the police attendance, this was unrelated to the campsite or the safety of our guests, and at no point was there any risk to anyone staying on the park.

We are proud of the standards we maintain and the positive feedback we receive from the vast majority of our guests, and we encourage future visitors to read all of our reviews to gain a balanced picture of the experience we provide.

As we do not believe your review accurately reflects your stay or the standards of our park, we do not feel Wilsons Treborth Caravan Park would be the right site for you in the future. We therefore would not invite you to return and wish you all the best in finding a campsite that better meets your expectations.

Electric grass pitch

Liked It was quiet

Disliked We were not in the walled area which looked very well maintained and clean, but down the bottom end. It seemed on more of a gypsy site , looking very much unloved and full of chavy Xmas lights.seems there are a few caravans that are there full time. We only used these showers not the ones in the walled area but they are really dirty .
Handy for Menai but that’s all I can say that we liked. No WiFi as this end but they said they were working on this for next year.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.

We would like to clarify a few points for future visitors. The attractive walled area you refer to is reserved for our seasonal owners. Touring guests are allocated pitches separately depending on availability, and all guests have access to both of our shower and toilet blocks. If you found one facility below the standard you expected, you were welcome to use the other, and we would have appreciated being informed during your stay so we could have addressed any concerns immediately.

We were particularly disappointed by your use of the term “gypsy site.” We found this wording to be inappropriate and unnecessary, as it relies on a stereotype rather than providing constructive feedback about the park itself. We welcome guests from all backgrounds and ask that reviews remain respectful and focused on genuine experiences.

With regard to Wi-Fi, we do not advertise Wi-Fi anywhere on the park because we do not currently provide this facility. Your review states that you were told Wi-Fi was being worked on for next year. If you spoke to a member of our team about this, it is disappointing that you did not also mention your concerns regarding the shower block or cleanliness at the time, as we would have welcomed the opportunity to investigate and resolve any issues during your stay.

We appreciate constructive feedback, as it helps us improve, but we also believe it is important that reviews remain factual, respectful, and fair.

We wish you all the best with your future travels.
