Liked: The two ladies and dogs in reception. The look and cleanliness of the site. Jetta beautiful. The nearby walk.

Disliked: The heavy constant downpours ( site not responsible for) The road noise from the road behind my pitch was constantly interrupting my rest throughout the night so between that and the weather we left early. Tv signal very poor could do with a booster.

I am however disappointed that you would neither recommend us to friends or visit again... I do think it is unfair to list heavy downpours as a dislike, although we do appreciate the added note that we are not responsible for that! We are as disgruntled as our guests are with the poor weather we are experiencing of late! The road noise is another aspect that is completely out of our control, during quieter times of the season, we try to relocate people to alternative pitches if the noise is a problem but when we are at full capacity this is not always possible. Apologies for the lack of TV signal you encountered, this seems to be hit and miss at the moment as we have Seasonal guests who are on site full time and don't experience any problems, we will take a look at this. Onnen 2 bedroom safari tent (pet friendly)

Liked: The campsite was tidy and clean, staff members were friendly, quite impressed the shampoo and conditioner which provided smell lovely and moisturised.

Local attractions

For those days where you can’t be bothered to walk too far, it’s very handy that the station for the narrow-gauge Bala Lake Railway is just five minutes’ walk away. Views of the water are a given, but count the mountains too: Arenig Fawr, Aran Fawddwy and Aran Benllyn are visible on the route. You may have your sights set on climbing Wales’ tallest mountain, perhaps. If you’re not climbing up Snowdon (an hour's drive) yourself, you might want to take the Snowdon Mountain Railway (an hour and five minutes), which has been making its ascent for over 100 years. A less strenuous trail than the Snowdon climb is the Mawddach Trail, which runs for just under 10 miles from Dolgellau (half an hour), crossing over the gorgeous Barmouth railway bridge on the other end. Coed y Brenin Forest Park (35 minutes) has plenty of trails too, through thick forest this time. You can take them on by mountain bike, standard bicycle or on foot – and there’s bike hire at the forest park.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 7 a.m..
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 2 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between 01/03 and 30/11.
Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.

Vehicles

Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

Visitors

Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
