Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: Second visit of the year here as we wanted the easy access to the lake, and we knew the standard of facilities on offer. Ironically set up on exactly the same pitch as previous. Pitch sizes are generous, site wasn't full so can't comment how close anyone could have been on grass pitch behind us. Staff always friendly. facilities kept clean, even when the rain was monsoon like. We will return for when we want to spend time on the lake again.

Disliked: Free wifi is limited in capability, but wasn't an issue for us. online access was not a priority!

Electric grass campervan pitch

Liked: What a lovely campsite, and pleasant staff. So polite and genuine. The campsite was clean and toilet blocks where immaculate. Showers just the right temperature. Couldn't have asked for a better location for everything we wanted to do. 3.5miles outside of Bala Town and a perfect walk for some wonderful food. Great memories, met some lovely people which camping is all about. Thank you for making it a wonderful birthday week.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback and for your kind words about our service and friendliness! We understand the challenge of walking to town with a baby. However, we’d like to mention that we are on a bus route, with a stop located right outside our caravan park entrance. This may be a convenient alternative for you and your family on future visits.

Electric hardstanding touring caravan pitch

Liked: The shower blocks and toilet were clean, easy check in and ok size pitches. Lovely location for water sport enthusiasts.

Disliked: No where close for the children to play football, cricket, rounders. The laundry facilities were crazy expensive, completely inadequate and I’m still waiting for my £20 refund.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the shower blocks, toilets, and check-in process satisfactory, and that you appreciated the location. Regarding children’s play activities, we do allow soft ball games on site, but for safety and to avoid disturbances to other guests, we don’t permit hard balls or leather footballs. We understand this may limit some activities, but we aim to keep the experience enjoyable for everyone. The laundry facilities are managed by Miele, so please reach out to them directly at support@appwash.com if you haven’t received your refund yet. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: We came here last year too. Access to Lake Bala is brilliant for paddle boarding, kayaking or rowing. Lovely clean site.

Disliked: Only thing we had happen is that pitchup took our money for a boat and extra vehicle. But when we got there they had no note of extra items and asked us for payment again. I had to find out my original email from pitchbup confirming booking. Very naughty of you pitch Up.

Electric grass touring caravan pitch

Liked: Clean showers

Disliked: Took 25 minutes to check in waiting in a never ending queue. It was honestly was a horror show watching one lady fumble the check ins Pitch was absolutely sodden wet on arrival and told this is the best of them all. It was at this point we realised we had no refund option or we would’ve left that second and headed down the road to a better site. A below bang average site and the first one we don’t understand the good rating at all on pitch up. Really didn’t like this place at all and the smell of fires at night is a joke. If this campsite was a house. You’d wipe your feet on the way out. The only good thing that this has is access to the lake. Won’t be coming back that’s for sure

From the manager: I’m sorry that your stay with us didn’t meet your expectations. You arrived during one of our busiest times, a Bank Holiday Monday during the school holidays, and I apologise for the longer-than-usual wait at check-in. Regarding the pitch conditions, North Wales was just recovering from Storm Lilian, and I’m sure you can appreciate that grass ground conditions take some time to fully recover. We did our best under the circumstances, but I’m sorry this impacted your stay. Campfires are a popular feature that many of our guests enjoy as part of the camping experience. However, we understand that preferences vary, and I’m sorry if this wasn’t to your liking. We receive positive feedback from many customers, which reflects the efforts we put into maintaining a good experience for our guests. We’re glad you enjoyed the access to the lake.
