What customers say
This is a peaceful, quiet campsite described as basic but nice, set in a beautiful rural location with lovely views. Visitors frequently praise the friendly and welcoming hosts, the neat fields, and the presence of on-site wildlife like chickens and sheep. Facilities are basic, primarily a toilet and wash basin, which are generally found to be clean. Short stays for relaxation and walking are highlighted as ideal. Some mention the convenience of nearby pubs and easy access. While minor issues like chickens being a nuisance or facilities being a distance away were noted, these did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience for most.

Absolutely fantastic
Non-electric grass and gravel tent pitch
Liked Had a fantastic couple of days
Peaceful…haven in the hills.
The lady who ran the place was lovely and helpful with any questions I had
The chickens are truly free range…
Visited me on many occasions but as long as you don’t feed them they will just pop in and out
On that note the eggs for sale are DELICIOUS golden yolks
Weather was fantastic and the grass was green
The toilet was clean and had hot running water…..it’s a proper loo too not a plastic portaloo in a field…instead situated in the courtyard/driveway of the lovely farm house
We will be back for sure thank you so much

Great stay, can’t wait to come back!
Non-electric grass and gravel tent pitch
Liked Really nice location, and the farm/campsite is like a little slice of heaven. Had a peaceful overnight stay, left to it which is what we like. Only two other campers plus us and we were all nicely spread out. We liked how sheltered the camping field is, as it’s lined with trees and bushes, feels cosy!
Chickens came over to greet us, no bother at all. The water tap and bin bags are by the camping field, the toilet is a little walk away but no longer than walking to a toilet block on a big campsite if you’re staying at the other end of the field. Was expecting a looooong walk having read prior reviews. Didn’t put us off at all!
Great location for days out, walks, pubs and hikes! We will definitely be back for a full weekend next time! Thanks for having us.
Disliked No washing up area, only one toilet, we waited for the toilet on two occasions and there were only three campers when we were there so perhaps a bit of an issue when busier? Maybe a portaloo or two would solve this? Food for thought.

Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked It is what is described. Rural get away - just the basics - but in a beautiful setting, with long views close at hand. 20 minute walk to a nice local pub (and downhill on the way back).

Great welcome and plenty of information…
Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Great welcome and plenty of information on local area, pubs etc. Nice level hard standing, water and CDP close by. Site small and very quiet. Managed a 4 mile walk from the site gate but weather was against us so took 30 minute drive into Conway which is well worth a visit. Full TV signal which is unusual in rural area.
Disliked Nothing to dislike

Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Such a lovely, peaceful, quiet spot. Really nice pub 10 minute walk away which has a great pizza van come on a Thursday. Lovely gang of chickens come to visit! Back to basics, as described on the website, just what the doctor ordered!

From the manager: I am sorry to read you were disappointed with your brief time at our camping field. Trying to erect a tent in a rainstorm is never easy!

Liked Nothing
Disliked very impudent chickens, no signs, you can look for a toilet for two days, as well as the camping itself, I do not recommend it to anyone

From the manager: Hi Alex - sorry about the cheeky chickens. I do say to everyone that if you feed them they will befriend you and likely stay around. I sent a message to you 15 mins after your booking landed with specific instructions about how to get here, recycling and rubbish, water supply, and location of the toilet so I don't understand how you were not able to find it. And also, could you not have asked someone else? Same rainstorm as previous reviewer!
