What customers say

This is an outstanding, well-maintained campsite on a working farm. Visitors praise the exceptionally clean and modern facilities, particularly the showers and toilets. The owners are consistently described as friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful countryside views, and presence of farm animals add to the charm. Its location offers a convenient short walk to the local town, pubs, and amenities. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few minor issues like occasional noise and a need for more toilet paper were mentioned.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Lovely well maintained site with very clean showers and toilets, a great vibe about the site with a large mix of generations and different people.
Friendly owner and very responsive.
The camp rules were well observed, we were a bit worried a party on site would go on late but they stopped and respected the camp curfew, it was great watching everyone having fun
There was a well stocked farm shop on site with fantastic sausages and great meats, ice cream, cheeses, did I mention the sausages?

The pitches were well spaced and well marked, electricity supply was easily within reach.

Disliked They ran out of sausages in the farm shop

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Staff friendly. Toilets and showers very clean. Very close to castle.

Disliked Dogs roaming free. Leaving mess on grass and not getting picked up.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for your review and yes dogs should be kept on leads as we have chickens/alpacas that also like to wander onto site which people love to experience. We are sorry that you came across dog mess not being picked but we find your review score of 6 unfair as we would have dealt with this had you brought it to our attention the many times me or one of my family was on the site during your stay.

Highly recommend this lovely campsite .…

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Although there was no reception as such, which seems to be getting more popular now, the owner made herself known to us when we pitched up. The facilities were plentiful & always very clean. Lovely toilets & showers. Great views from the top field & a very good farm shop on site. A small walk into the town was easy although if you wanted to venture further a car would be needed. We didn't try the public transport as it was only a short visit but buses seemed to run regular.

Disliked Nothing really.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Quiet convenient location with good facilities which were cleaned frequently.
Owners appeared helpful and approachable.
The pitches were also of a good aize

Disliked The only real issue that we had was that it would have been really convenient if the on site shop sold essential groceries for example milk butter and bread.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks Brian for your review but we’re a bit confused as the farm shop sells bread, butter and milk😁😁😁😁😁

Local attractions

A stately home built in the 17th century, Bodrhyddan Hall (five minutes’ drive) is known for its manicured lawns and paths snaking through dense woodland. After a guided tour of the interior (which takes you past artworks, period furniture and an Egyptian mummy), stop for refreshments in the tea room. With its wide sandy beach and miniature railway, Rhyl (10 minutes) is a top destination for families. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, you can head to SC2 Rhyl, with an indoor waterpark, a ninja assault course and a soft-play area for younger kids, or to the SeaQuarium. Snow leopards, lemurs and brown bears are just some of the animals at Welsh Mountain Zoo (15 minutes). Other residents include exotic birds, reptiles and the furry and feathered guests at the Children’s Farm (rabbits, guinea pigs and ducks, among others). The park also has colourful gardens and woodland walks.
