  • Easy access to stunning beaches, train stations and the Expressway
Full steam ahead to Tan Y Bryn Glamping, a stunning, modern site in a central spot in North Wales. Here, every little detail has been carefully thought out for a memorable stay, whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a peaceful trip or a base to do some proper exploring with your friends. Not to mention, it has stunning views of mountains and the North Wales coast, which stretches out towards Llandudno's Great Orme. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, there are plenty of thoughtful amenities on site from clean, well-maintained showers and toilets to a communal fridge and a washing-up area. Feel free to bring your furry friends along, as dogs are also more than welcome. They'll likely appreciate exploring alongside you, with so many pretty walking trails – including woodland paths and a nature reserve – nearby. It's only a 15-minute drive from the site to the northern edge of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), so there are plenty of adventures to be had in the local area, whether it's a hike or outdoor activities. On those days when you feel like sightseeing instead, take the easy 10-minute drive to the Victorian resort town of Llandudno, where there are shops, restaurants and a beach. Medieval Conwy Castle is also only 15 minutes' drive away. At Tan Y Bryn Glamping, they pride themselves on being a welcoming experience, rather than just a place to stay; the friendly owners are always on hand to greet you and share local tips.

What customers say

This site offers beautiful rural views and exceptionally clean, modern facilities, with many guests praising the spotless washrooms and welcoming staff. While most pitches are well-maintained, some reviews mention sloping pitches. Access via narrow, steep lanes can be challenging for larger vehicles. Despite these points, many visitors highly recommend the site for its peaceful atmosphere and stunning location.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very easy check-in (just drive to your pitch). Good pitch with a nice view. Very nice and clean toilet block. Good phone signal.

Disliked Could do with an extra shower. Did not like the frosted window on the shower and toilet door that you could partially see through.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very clean site with large pitches. Good location for travelling to lots of nearby attractions. The staff that we encountered were very pleasant too.

Disliked Not knowing the roads up to the site were quite tight and in some places single track with blind bends. Struggled as we were towing a smart car behind motorhome. Venturing out in the smart car daily meant navigating a very long single track road with hardly any passing places. Had to reverse back up blind bend roads several times.
No designated male toilet area ( used accessible toilet & shower )
Also whilst there, the peace and quiet was very much disturbed by the JCB behind the site. This was due to the development of further pitches for Tan Y Bryn, so wont be forever but unfortunate for us at this particular time.

From the manager: Thank you for your great comments and valued feedback . So pleased you loved the site and large pitches, great things to do locally too! We have added some incredible new fully serviced pitches our other field which is just completed.
The accessible shower room does cover disabilities as well as male uses, which has to comply with planning requirements, hopefully, that was not too much of an inconvenience.

Liked Pristine site in a quiet and peaceful location. Only 5 pitches for caravans/motorhomes. Immaculate facilities. Gorgeous sea views. Good sized pitch. Couldn't fault a thing. Turn left at the mini roundabout towards Mochdre and go straight on for about three miles. Then, after the shops, turn right into Station Road. Turn right again at the junction, following this road until you reach a Y-junction. Turn left, following the road for around a mile; you’ll pass a campsite which is also called Tan y Bryn, but there is a sign on the fence which indicates how to reach the correct site. Local attractions

North Wales is an excellent part of the world to visit if you’re into the outdoors or natural scenery. Eryri National Park (15 minutes’ drive) has lots of hiking and biking trails, ranging from gentle strolls to more challenging uphill climbs. For those who like adrenaline activities, there are also underground adventures at Go Below Underground Adventures (30 minutes) and the chance to fly through the air on high-speed zipwires at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (35 minutes). To move at a more leisurely pace, you may want to head to the North Wales coast instead. Take a peaceful walk along Llandudno's (10 minutes) Victorian pier or go for a ride on the historic cable car. The tram up the Great Orme also has excellent views. Conwy (10 minutes) also has one of the most well-preserved medieval castles in the country. Just a short drive from the A55, Tan Y Bryn Glamping is in a pretty prime location for venturing further afield too. Some splendid places to visit a little further out are Anglesey (45 minutes), Caernarfon (40 minutes), the seaside town of Rhyl (35 minutes) and the cathedral city of St Asaph (25 minutes).
