Full steam ahead to Tan Y Bryn Glamping, a stunning, modern site in a central spot in North Wales. Here, every little detail has been carefully thought out for a memorable stay, whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a peaceful trip or a base to do some proper exploring with your friends. Not to mention, it has stunning views of mountains and the North Wales coast, which stretches out towards Llandudno's Great Orme. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, there are plenty of thoughtful amenities on site from clean, well-maintained showers and toilets to a communal fridge and a washing-up area. Feel free to bring your furry friends along, as dogs are also more than welcome. They'll likely appreciate exploring alongside you, with so many pretty walking trails – including woodland paths and a nature reserve – nearby. It's only a 15-minute drive from the site to the northern edge of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), so there are plenty of adventures to be had in the local area, whether it's a hike or outdoor activities. On those days when you feel like sightseeing instead, take the easy 10-minute drive to the Victorian resort town of Llandudno, where there are shops, restaurants and a beach. Medieval Conwy Castle is also only 15 minutes' drive away. At Tan Y Bryn Glamping, they pride themselves on being a welcoming experience, rather than just a place to stay; the friendly owners are always on hand to greet you and share local tips.

What customers say

This is a highly-rated, exceptionally clean and well-maintained site with stunning views. Pitches are well-serviced and spacious. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are consistently praised for their cleanliness and modern quality. While the site offers a peaceful retreat, some visitors have noted narrow access roads which can be challenging for larger vehicles. There are occasional comments regarding the limited number of washroom facilities and infrequent staff interaction, though management is responsive to feedback.

Liked Very clean and maintained site, only a short drive to Llandudno and conwy. Couple of short walks off the site.

Disliked The drive to get there with a caravan wasn't the greatest for us that are new to caravaning but maybe experienced towers might find it ok.

From the manager: Thank you for your amazing feedback and that you will be returning. We do suggest good directions for the journey to make the visit smooth, we look forward to welcoming you back very soon, Best wishes Jenny & the team

Liked 5 star establishment.

Disliked Really strange not to have met any of the management team at any stage of the visit (three nights) not an opportunity for a hello or even thanks but it only matters I guess to a certain age group of us. Lol

From the manager: Hello
Thank you for the wonderful comments and important feedback.
We are genuinely surprised we have not met you on site, as we cover the site 7 days a week ! As a small family run site, its almost impossible not to see and meet us. Possibly we did have a couple of days off in July , so im guessing thats when we missed you. Hopefully, next time we will get to meet you .

Best wishes Jenny & the team

Liked The cleanliness and tidyness of the site, plus the view.

Disliked The loud groaning noise from a pump attached to an adjacent glamping pod, which continued from 6 pm until 8.45 am. the following morning.
The narrow, steep roads to get to and from the site.

From the manager: Hello Malcolm
Thank you for review and enjoying the gorgeous views we have and high standards of cleanliness. We apologised on site and gave complimentary Prosecco as our way of apologies for fridge noise . This was immediately rectified once reported to our team , we feel the customer service rating of 3 to be unjustified. We do provide excellent directions to the site and have welcomed motor homes and tourers to the site since the 1970s, which we hope to continue here at Tan y Bryn . Best wishes Jenny & the team

Local attractions

North Wales is an excellent part of the world to visit if you’re into the outdoors or natural scenery. Eryri National Park (15 minutes’ drive) has lots of hiking and biking trails, ranging from gentle strolls to more challenging uphill climbs. For those who like adrenaline activities, there are also underground adventures at Go Below Underground Adventures (30 minutes) and the chance to fly through the air on high-speed zipwires at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (35 minutes). To move at a more leisurely pace, you may want to head to the North Wales coast instead. Take a peaceful walk along Llandudno's (10 minutes) Victorian pier or go for a ride on the historic cable car. The tram up the Great Orme also has excellent views. Conwy (10 minutes) also has one of the most well-preserved medieval castles in the country. Just a short drive from the A55, Tan Y Bryn Glamping is in a pretty prime location for venturing further afield too. Some splendid places to visit a little further out are Anglesey (45 minutes), Caernarfon (40 minutes), the seaside town of Rhyl (35 minutes) and the cathedral city of St Asaph (25 minutes).
