Camp Llandudno: Sun and fun with family and friends.

General

  • Pop-up site on a working farm two miles from Llandudno and Conwy
  • A 10-minute drive to Snowdonia National Park; walk to the beach
  • Firepits for hire, firewood for sale and a pub and shop nearby

Whether you’re cycling to the beach, surfing or relaxing beside a firepit back on site, Camp Llandudno will put you back in touch with the simple pleasures. A pop-up site with open, spacious fields (and heaps of fresh air, of course), this place is for the folk who like proper back to basics camping. In fact, the owners describe their sheep farm as just a couple of splendid fields that happen to be well-suited to camping…

It’s not just the stunning semi-rural location and south-facing fields that are to like. The farm is also just two miles from Llandudno, Deganwy and Conwy on the North Wales coast, where a five-minute drive will get you to copious cafés, restaurants, bars and pubs.

For sea dips, Deganwy beach and West Shore beach are five minutes’ drive away (or a slightly longer walk or bike ride for the adventurous types). With bus stops at the front gate and a food shop and a pub a couple minutes’ drive away, it’s all rather convenient.

When it comes to the simple pleasures on site, think firepits for hire (subject to availability) and regular starry skies. Open fires and barbecues are permitted off the ground and firewood can be purchased on site, handily enough.

Other pop-up facilities include two hot showers, six cold showers, clean and portable toilet facilities, cold water supplies for drinking, washing up and bathing and Elsan points. There’s no electricity or wifi (although you’re welcome to use the good 4G/3G coverage and bring your own head torches, lanterns, and power banks or equipment like camping toilets or solar showers).

With a quiet, relaxed vibe, everyone is welcome here – families, couples, friends, young, old and well-behaved dogs (on a lead, unless supervised in the designated dog exercise area) included.

Please note

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.

Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.

Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

where should I start !! not the greatest welcome when we got there owner moaning about going to the farm house to check in,was told when we arrived that the boiler for the shower was broken so no hot water, and the toilets well not emptied in the 2 days we were there, the mess inside was shocking, bins overflowing and not emptied binbags thrown on the floor around the bins not a good site more bothered about hiring firepits out and selling logs and pizza's, would I stay here again no and would advise people not to either

From the manager...

Gosh, sorry to hear you had such an awful stay! I remember chatting to you to try and understand how some campers were missing the enormous 8' Camp Llandudno sign, pointing into the fields full of tents, and ending up at the farmhouse. Moaning no, trying to understand to improve, yes.

Boiler broken on the last weekend, yes, we are sorry for this, not ideal, but unfortunately, one of those things. In 2023 we will be taking control of our own hot water showers, rather than relying on a hire company, over which we have no control.

Portaloos are designed with a reservoir so they don't need to be emptied everyday. Ours were emptied twice a week and cleaned everyday. Our reviews show the vast majority of campers appreciated, that as far as portaloos go, ours were pretty good.

The bins are emptied twice a week. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen! If the bins were ever full, there was a tractor and farm trailer next to them for rubbish within a very short space of time.

Please remember we are a back to basics camp site. If you have champagne tastes but only spend a beer budget, your probably going to be disappointed!
