Nom, nom, nom!
Wood-fired pizza and ice-cold drinks in summer
Bella rutherford from the farm producing some amazing coffee for the caffeine addicts up early!

  • Pop-up site on a working farm two miles from Llandudno and Conwy
  • A 10-minute drive to Snowdonia National Park; walk to the beach
  • Woodfired pizzas, bar, and barista coffee available
Whether you’re cycling to the beach, surfing or relaxing by a firepit back on site, Camp Llandudno will put you in touch with the simple pleasures. A pop-up site with open, spacious fields (and heaps of fresh air, of course), this place is for the folk who like proper back to basics camping. In fact, the owners describe their sheep farm as just a couple of splendid fields that happen to be well-suited to camping… It’s not just the stunning semi-rural location and south-facing fields that are to like here. The farm is also just two miles from Llandudno, Deganwy and Conwy on the North Wales coast, so a five-minute drive will get you to copious cafés, restaurants, bars and pubs. Handily, there's a camp kitchen serving hot breakfast baps in the mornings, as well as barista coffee throughout the day and tasty woodfired pizzas in the evening. A well-stocked bar serving ice-cold drinks is also available. For sea dips, Deganwy beach and West Shore beach are five minutes’ drive away (or a slightly longer walk or bike ride for the active types). With bus stops at the front gate and a food shop and a pub a couple minutes’ drive away, it’s all rather convenient. When it comes to the simple pleasures on site, think firepits for hire (subject to availability) and regular starry skies. Open fires and barbecues are permitted off the ground and firewood can be purchased on site. Other pop-up facilities include six hot-water and four cold-water shower cubicles, a toilet block with proper flushing toilets, additional clean portable toilet facilities, an Elsan point and cold water supplies for drinking and washing up. There’s no electricity or wifi (although there's usually good 4G/3G coverage and you can bring equipment like camping toilets or solar showers). With a fun and relaxed vibe, everyone is welcome here – families, couples, friends, young, old… with well-behaved dogs (on a lead, unless supervised in the designated dog exercise area) included.

What customers say

This is a highly recommended campsite with spacious, well-maintained pitches. Visitors frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, the excellent wood-fired pizzas and breakfast baps, and the convenient location for exploring Llandudno and surrounding areas. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are generally described as clean. While the site offers a back-to-basics camping experience, popular additions like a bar and fire pits contribute to a positive atmosphere. Some minor points mentioned include potential road noise from certain pitches and occasional issues with portaloo cleanliness during busy periods.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked No, too bad

Disliked The toilets were extremely dirty, and the sink for washing had no water. The drinking water source was located right next to an area that smelled of sewage, which felt very unhygienic. This is why I strongly disliked the place and would never recommend it to anyone. People pay for a tent expecting a nice camping experience, but here you will never get that.

From the manager: Hmmmm, Ahmad, when all other reviews are excellent, people are smart enough to see through a review like this and know that it probably comes from a grievance of some kind, and it makes you look a bit silly. Not sure what got your goat, but I'll say this, if you have champagne tastes but only spend a beer budget, your always going to be disappointed. If you come to Camp Llandudno, expecting a back to basics, four week, pop up camp site in a field, with good facilities, cold drinks, amazing wood fired pizza, brilliant coffee and breakfast baps, you'll love us! Holler out when you find a better camp site, because it will be a hell of a good one. I don't think your a Camp Llandudno kind of person! Big love, Mark and the Camp Llandudno Team.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Everything, could not fault the place. Friendly staff, big pitches, facilities for a pop up site are more than adequate and very clean. The pizzas and breakfasts were really nice and priced reasonably, as was the alcohol. 10 min drive to Llandudno beach/pier.
A proper carefree campsite where you can do camp fires, BBQ’s and kids can run free with a mix of different types of campers. I’ll be going back

Disliked Couldn’t fault it

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Pitched next to the wallabies and turkeys, shower and toilet facilities were great.

Disliked Pizza was baaad, half cooked and very expensive (£12 per pizza). Fire pit hire was also very expensive (£10 compared to other sites which are £2-£5). Children running everywhere and going behind our tent pulling the pegs out, we lost 5 pegs as a result of this. One young lad lost his Frisbee in the wallaby enclosure and was trying to climb the fence behind our tent (which also appeared to be electric at the top) Would not visit again

From the manager: Hello, Thanks for your comments. Our pizza isn't frozen out of a box, it's freshly made wood fired pizza, sometimes, vary rarely, it's not perfect. Folks if your pizza is not up to scratch, come and see us, and we'll make you another one no problem.

Fire pits cost money to make, every day we have to go around and collect them and empty them, then bring them around again the next night. We couldn't offer this service if we only charged £2-5, we'd just be busy fools. You are welcome to bring your own fire pit, you don't need to hire ours.

If a kid is pulling your tent pegs out, shout at them! If you don't want to shout at them, come and find a member of staff and we'll shout at them, then I'll put them in the Crocodile enclosure!

Yes, if kids try to climb the wallaby fencing, they will get a shock from the electric fence wire, that's the whole point of it! It's there to protect the Wallabies from foxes and humans!

Please remember we are here for 28 days. Your welcome to go into town and pay £16 for a wood fired pizza, or to a local put for a £7 pint or G&T. You don't have to use our services or catering, but it's there if you want an icy cold drink in the middle of a field, or a wood fired pizza straight out of the oven, at reasonable prices. This year alone, we have spent over £20,000 on just the new facilities trailers. If we don't charge a fair amount for the services we provide, we can not run the camp. Big love, Mark and the Camp Llandudno team.

Will definitely visit again.
