What customers say
This peaceful, rural campsite is praised for its picturesque location and tranquil atmosphere. Owners Debbie and Roger are frequently highlighted for their friendly, helpful, and accommodating nature. Pitches benefit from individual water and electric hook-ups. While facilities are described by some as basic but clean and functional, others found them dated and in need of maintenance. The access road is noted as narrow, and some visitors found the site's seclusion to be a disadvantage.

Rough and ready but very quiet.
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Lovely sunny (when it wasn’t raining) peaceful site well off the beaten track The pitches are on a 10m ish wide strip of gravel with a small stream on one side and a grassy bank on the other. All pitches have power and a tap. Sinks and toilets were clean but could do with a bit of maintenance. Overall the site is tired but if you want peace and quiet away from everything then it is great.
Disliked the single track approach road we came on is twisty windy with few passing places if you have a big rig then expect a challenge but we saw very little traffic . The pitches are level ish no but we had to use ramps where we were, we didn’t use our awning so don’t know how easy it would be to get the pegs in. The facilities are retro with 2 ex welfare /festival toilet and shower units clad and roofed with profile sheet. The showers are on or off with no temperature control but were warm. If you are a “larger” person then they will be a tight fit. The chemical and grey waste disposal room was very rough.

Fantastic base to visit an amazing place!!
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Fantastic quiet site off the beaten track with good clean facilities, arrived to find we actually had a water and TV aerial hookup which was great and unexpected.
The owners are so accommodating and check up on the site regularly, as well as taking the time to chat, it’s also within a few miles of essential amenities and beautiful countryside.
The site was absolutely everything we expected it to be and more.
I did notice some others have disliked the access road, I have to say our 24 year old VW transporter had absolutely no problem pulling our 1.5 tonne caravan up the bank which I must say is not steep at all
Disliked Having to leave….

Liked Beautiful picturesque location. Absolute silence so relaxing is an easy past time here. Debbie was so helpful and made contact prior to our arrival to make setting up easy. She is a lovely caring host that checks and cleans daily all of the facilities. This is a no stress site with more than adequate facilities surrounded by nature. Will definitely be visiting again.

Simple, economical, peaceful site on a working farm

Liked We loved this site! We'd read the reviews and weren't expecting too much but honestly, if you want somewhere peaceful, simple and safe then this place is grand.
Particularly liked:
* The location - stunning countryside and the most glorious view of Conwy Castle on the approach to the site. Just minutes from Llandudno, Conwy, Bodnant Gardens etc
* Comms - Debbie was communicative before our trip, and checked in to the site daily while we were there. During our stay, we had one minor query but we called Roger and it was sorted within about 10 minutes.
* Showers - plenty of hot water and impressive water pressure. Clean too - some reviews comment that they are basic, but they have a hairdryer and plenty of pegs for clothes etc so are already streets ahead of sites costing twice as much.
* Laid-back vibe - it felt safe letting the kids roam (a tyre swing! Blackberry bushes!), they could play without us feeling anxious about traffic etc, and there are none of those miserable signs you sometimes get all over sites telling you what you are not allowed to do. Other campers were equally relaxed and it felt like a warm little community.
* Sheltered location - the site is in a valley and the pitches are overlooked by a grassy bank so there is no wind
* Bird life - so many birds! We had the Merlin app open and were able to identify about 12 different birdsongs (including a hobby and a firecrest)
* Dark sky - perfect for watching the Perseids meteor shower

Friendly owners

Liked The owners were helpful and friendly
Disliked Campers arriving late at night 10pm making lots of noise and causing disturbance. Times to arrive is 12pm to 7pm apparently. Toilets and showers could do with an update tbh. No WiFi option
