Sitting right next to its spectacular namesake waterfall on Afon (river) Llugwy and five minutes’ drive from the alpine-esque village of Betws-y-Coed, The Swallow Falls Inn is tucked into a valley in the lush Gwydyr Forest. The site is also in the centre of spectacular Eryri National Park, putting you close to all the splendid scenery and active adventure attractions of North Wales. The list of amenities at this peaceful spot are fairly short: the dog-friendly grass pitches have access to modern showers, a washing-up area and a recycling zone – but there is a jolly good on-site pub where you can enjoy relaxed dining on favourites like fish and chips or burgers, as well as having a choice of beers, wines and soft drinks. If you run short of anything, there are grocers and delis in Betws-y-Coed, where you can also pick up information on making the most of your time in the national park. You'll also have direct access to country walks – and the short trail down to Swallow Falls – directly from the pitches.

Liked Lovely campsite, great bathroom and shower facilities and the pub/food was excellent too.

Zoe who worked in the restaurant was very helpful and kind to our group

Liked Really good facilities, excellent shower and toilets all of which were kept really clean and available 24/7. Water points on the top level of the camping site and bottom level and a washing up station.
The campsite is on a tiered grass area which gives excellent privacy if you want it. There are well maintained trees on each level giving more privacy to each tier and also some protection from the elements.
There is a staircase cut into the grass embankment taking you to each level of the site. At night the staircase is lit meaning it's easy to get back and forward to your pitch.

Swallow Falls itself is directly opposite. You won't need a white noise machine to sleep as the falls are right there! Though noisy it's pleasant and to be expected. And it masks the noise from the A5.

The site is about a 30 minute (downhill) walk or 45 minute stroll to Betws-Y-Coed which is a great touristy village.
Its a 20 minute drive to beautiful Ogwen Valley and the Glyderau and Carneddau ranges. And also the really fun Zip World.
Only 30 to 40 minutes to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and Llanberis.

Staff are really friendly and helpful and the Inn serves great food and drink.
Parking on site is easy and when you check in to site you can validate your parking for free.

Cost is really reasonable and works for doing your own glamping or even having a comfortable backpacking camp.

Liked Unbelievable facilities, great woodland scenic routes down to Betws-y-coed and the swallow falls is amazing to see. Only stopped off in the Swallow falls Inn for a drink once, but it's such a beautiful Inn and the food looked amazing, we will have to come back another time!

Active families can make a beeline for the adrenaline-inducing zipwires and subterranean trampolines at Zip World Llechwedd (25 minutes’ drive), or navigate the underground rock scrambles and climbs in the old slate mine at Go Below Underground Adventures (10 minutes).
