What customers say
This immaculate, adult-only touring park offers stunning views and peaceful stays. Owners Karen and Al are consistently praised for their warm welcome and attentiveness. Pitches are spacious, fully serviced, and beautifully landscaped. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are spotless. Dog owners particularly appreciate the secure, enclosed dog field and dedicated dog shower. WiFi is available and reported as good. While most visitors had no complaints, one review noted poor WiFi signal on a specific pitch. Access roads are generally manageable.

From the manager: It's fantastic to know you liked the park layout and facilities, thank you.
Thank you for also addressing the 1.4 miles road that brings our guests to the park. Here is information for the benefit of anyone who is considering booking to stay with us.
Prior to re opening the park earlier this year, we had a highways road assessment.
The report stated the road to us from the village is in a rural position which reflects the surrounding road networks. However, our road is officially described by the Conwy county borough council highways department as a wide country road and will be easily and safely accessible for large motorhomes and twin-axel touring caravans. In addition, the road is extremely quiet and described by them as very light with traffic.
We are so sorry you had an anxious journey up the road. As you explained you had a new caravan and new car so it must have been extremely difficult for you to negotiate roads until you got use to the length and width of your unit. Now you have been to us it will be much easier if you to revisit. We would love to see you both again.
Beautiful site, great views. Dog exercise…

From the manager: We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed the peace and quiet of the park.
Thank you Tommy and Diann for your kindly word, we love going the extra mile with our customer service, it makes your stay more enjoyable. So do the statues amongst the landscaping. They are made by many individuals mostly out of recycled materials.
Please come again, we loved hosting you both and your little dog too.
An excellent site with fully serviced pitches immaculately kept.
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (large, members only)
Liked An excellent campsite immaculately kept. The landscaping was beautiful. The owners were there to meet us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know fully. We thought we may have had a problem with our car and the owners were able to recommend a garage just down the road (which fortunately was not needed).
The site is situated in a beautiful valley in a lovely area and if we want a quiet chill out break again we would love to return.
Disliked The only thing we were disappointed with was that once we had put our awning up there wasn’t room for the car on the pitch. The owners suggested where we could park instead and that was fine. Perhaps if we had sited the van differently we could have made it all fit.

From the manager: Hi Brenda and Ian, that you for taking the time to write a lovely review and share your feedback.
It's fabulous to learn you appreciated the quiet and tranquillity of the site. Being so quiet allows our guests to unwind and reset, good to hear you did just that.
Being different from the traditional pitch parking, we encourage our guests to park anyway they want to on the pitches.10m x 10m pitches do accommodate for large units, large car and awnings with plenty of room to walk around and sit out. Most people park their vehicles slightly different on the pitches which allows car, van and awning comfortably. However, the car parking area is there to use where 3 large vehicles can park easily. I’m glad you parked there.
We loved hosting you both and would love to welcome you back again, until then.
Overall perfect site for us and would stay again.
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (members only, small)
Liked Welcomed upon arrival and detailed instructions/checkin.
We stayed on pitch 5 which was in the centre of the plot. We have a Bailey discovery d4-4 and with the motor mover it was easy to position the caravan and have our car alongside. We didn't bother with the awning as only staying for 2 nights.
Facilities were spotless.

From the manager: We truly appreciate you staying with us Deana and Nicky and glad you had a pleasant stay. Super parking getting your caravan on the small pitch!. Apologies no super pitches were available for you, we're a very busy site.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us and your welcome back anytime.
I'm reluctant to say how fabulous…
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (large, members only)
Liked I'm reluctant to say how fabulous this place is incase it gets booked up lol.
We had a large pitch on this adult only site with pitch facilities( water, waste & electric etc) Only 5 pitches on site but huge size with wonderful views. Toilet ,Toilet and shower and Kitchen area is absolutely pristine .
The warmest welcome we have ever received from Karen and Al. Swallows nesting in the old stables became our entertainment. A huge Dog area where the pooches could be off lead and they have their very own dog spa with hot and cold running water ! a woods adjoining where you can see how the owners have worked with nature and nurtured it into a very pleasant ,cool place of discovery ,quiet and quirky bird feeders etc dotted around . Adjoining this was a huge BBQ meadow, all set up with 2 well built BBQs ready to use by campers , and picnic tables dotted around to enjoy your goodies after cooking . You can even take your own chairs just to sit with a glass of wine,or a brew and enjoy the fantastic view.100% wifi cover free . Beautiful well kept landscaped gardens with ornamental animals and birds dotted about, you just have to look 😎 So quiet you could hear a pin drop. Love it . Pub about a mile and a half away if you need one 😎. 11 miles from Abergele or Conway, lots of attractions close by ....but ...,we have a Moho so I'd advise .stay put and chill if you're only there for a couple of nights . We shall deffo be returning .

From the manager: Thrilled to read your super review Gaynor and Simon and your photographs are brilliant, especially the one showing a splendid sky.
How lovely to see your old dogs taking advantage of the cool woods. It's so nice when our guests appreciate nature in the woods. The swallows come all the way from south Africa to spend the summer here to breed, so I’m glad you enjoyed the majestic little birds.
Good you enjoyed all our facilities. Thanks again for your feedback and you are all welcome to come back anytime.

From the manager: Sorry to learn your stay with us did not live up to your expectations. Thank you Lisa for your comments and suggestions.
I would like to offer some explanations. Firstly you state in your review there was no hot water. A fellow guest reported no hot water in the shower at 10.45am. Our local heating engineer came to the site just 40 minutes later and he found the boiler had been adjusted so he reset it immediately. This was out of our control. As soon as I was made aware there was no hot water in the shower, I spoke to all guests including you. You told me you had not noticed the lack of hot water so fortunately it did not affect you or your companion.
The pitch you chosen was a super pitch. Including the grass area it measures 12m x 10m. Your campervan was 5m x 2m. There are not many CL sites with pitches as big and in view of the pitch sizes, they are spaced out far beyond what is recommended. The cost of £30 per night was also a concern for you. The price we charge is all inclusive and there are no additional costs at all. Most CL sites are far more expensive once extras are added in. The caravan and motorhome club inspector recommended the price we charge.
Regarding the facilities. There are two toilets and 1 shower on site which is the recommended amount for 10 pitches. As we have only 5 pitches and never experience a queue we understand the facilities are acceptable. The AA have awarded the park 5 stars and there was no recommendation for more facilities, in fact the facilities were awarded highly. I was on site for a few hours the morning your left and when you and your companion went to the toilets, both toilets were free, so was the shower. Other guests informed me the toilets and shower were vacant each time they used them.
When you arrived my husband gave you a leaflet with instructions on how to access the satellite dish. Starlink satellite and the booster in the middle of the park is providing all our guests with excellent WIFI and they are able to download and stream too. Should you have experienced difficulties with getting onto the satellite you should have told us and we would have assisted you avoiding disappointment.
Taking the above into consideration we are very sorry the park did not meet your standards but taking what you have said, we understand your comments are purely personal in comparison with all other feedback and reviews we have. Both myself and Al sincerely hope you find a park that meets your requirements and your next holiday is more enjoyable. Thank you again for staying at Tan Y Ffordd Touring Park.
