  • Peaceful, well-kept farm site 10 minutes' drive from Abergele
  • Llandudno and Eryri walks within half an hour's drive
  • Large grass pitches a few minutes' drive from the A55
Somewhere within easy reach of both the coast and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park is a good choice for a stay in north Wales. And that’s exactly the location that Peniarth Bach Farm has, surrounded by green countryside about 10 minutes' drive south of Abergele. This is a peaceful rural farm site, but it’s a handy base for all sorts of days out as it’s only a few minutes' drive from the A55 (the main trunk road running the north Wales coast). That means it’s pretty straightforward to get to the walking trails, mountains and adrenaline activities of Eryri, the beaches and resorts along the coast and all sorts of attractions for all ages. You may like to throw in a trip to Anglesey as well; the bridges over the Menai Strait are only about 40 minutes away by car. Back at the farm, you’ll be staying on peaceful and well-maintained pitches with purpose-built bathroom facilities including ladies’ and gents’ toilets and showers plus an accessible/family wetroom. Other facilities on site include a launderette, a washing-up area, a chemical disposal point and a wifi connection.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked On arrival I had the most welcoming greeting ever and had an option of where to pitch up, hard standing or grass. As a female solo camper I felt super safe here. Lovely views and a relaxed vibe. I was so grateful to feel so welcomed that I thanked them at the end of my stay.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked A great site, well run and lovely owners. Nice spacious pitches and flat too. Great location for star gazing at night too due to the lack of light pollution.

15 minute drive into Colwyn Bay.

Great price with hook up.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Very peaceful and quiet . The site was very clean , showers were hot . It was only a little walk into Betws Yn Rhos , where you can go to the wheatsheaf pub or golf club for food and drinks . Not far to travel to Abergele for the beach or Llanfair TH if you want a dip in the river and also the Black Lion Pub for food.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked The site is very tranquil and offers fantastic views over the Abergele coast in the distance (you can also see the big spotlights from Twyn fairground). It is clean and well maintained and being a working farm you can see (and hear) the various animals. On clear nights expect to enjoy a great stargazing experience. The wash facilities were very good and clean and were not too busy. Waste disposal seemed limited so recycling is strongly encouraged were possible. We never used the wifi so cannot comment as we had full mobile service.

Disliked The short stay grass pitch we were on was on a slight incline but if you bear that in mind when pitching it shouldn't be too much of a problem. The site also closes for the evening and if you are not back before dark you will have to open the main gate or ask to be let in.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We are glad you had an enjoyable experience with your family! The gate was only closed on the Sunday night due to some unwelcome customers, it was closed at 10pm & opened at 6am. The gate is usually left open, but it is additional security if required. Apologies for the understanding and we hope to see you again!

From the manager: The booking information you provided was inaccurate. You booked for a motorhome, 2 adults, 1 child. On arrival this was not the case, there were multiple children. You also had a twin axle caravan that was a continental caravan and commercial vehicle breaching our booking policy which is below:

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Continental touring caravans (caravans built with the passenger door on the right-hand side) are not permitted.

Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
