Owners asked if we wanted to feed the farm goats! Horses, chickens and pigs also on the farm. Had a great morning with the owners and animals , learning about their farm. would return here

Liked Great location in mid Wales, could do with some maintaining
Liked: hot shower, friendly owner, good quick communication (when we realised the 1st night there was no hot water from the shower, he came and replaced the whole shower unit very quickly)
Great views from our pitch
Hearing the sound of farm animals and being able to go and see the goats
Flat log on our pitch which was great for using as a table for meals and a bench to sit on and enjoy the view.
Lovely sausages for sale in the sausage shack.
Private pitch in its own field with exclusive use of toilet and shower. Lots of space.

Disliked Disliked: compost toilet and shower very basic for the price; (toilet roll not supplied, toilet seat not clean, no washbasin for washing hands/cleaning teeth, bird poo and possibly green algae on shower floor, briers growing through the shower and toilet cubicles, some wood warping and creating gaps)
Pitch right next to road so although we couldn't see the road, we could hear traffic noise from inside the tent at night, and see construction traffic (lorries, diggers) going down the road in the daytime
Farm smell which seemed to be coming from the barn right next to the pitch
Also a smell when using the shower, not sure if coming from the drainage or the compost toilet next to it.
Pitch on hill so sloped in both directions. Whichever way we pitched we ended up rolling down the hill in our sleep.

From the manager: Thank you for such a thorough review. I am glad that you enjoyed seeing the animals, they are responsible for the farm smell. There are no animals in the barn next to the pitch, you are next to our farm lane there is no construction traffic just the tractors loaders and feed lorries that come with a working farm. The toilets and showers are cleaned before each check in and the briars and hedge around the shower are left for privacy. The timber for the cubicles is all milled onsite from local timber and it is all rustic something that appeals to most of our guests as the reviews show. I am sorry if you forgot your loo roll we do have some for just such occasions. There is fresh water on the completely private pitch as well as a hot shower/water for washing etc. Perhaps a more formal campsite is better for yourselves rather than farm camping.

Liked Peaceful, rustic. Perfect for an overnight camp.

Liked Such a lovely site. The pitch was a whole secluded field / rolling meadow, probably over an acre in size, all to ourselves.
The private shower was amazing, nice and powerful and warm. The private toilet was great too, despite being a compost loo.

Liked Large private pitches with views of the surrounding hills and woods. Good clean compost loo and outdoor shower on the pitch with a drinking water tap. Fires allowed so long as you use the fire pit on the pitch and there is firewood/kindling/eggs/bacon/sausages available on site on an honesty box system. Lovely owners and brilliant value for money so we will definitely be returning.

Liked What’s not to like? A last-minute decision and I arrived before my booking notification but the owners didn’t blink - welcomed me warmly, pointed me at a private little paddock with its own compost toilet and shower, and left me to enjoy a peaceful rainy night in blissfully rural Wales surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Solid and well-drained ground with several options for tent placement (mines a small tent) and options for tie points for dog longline (she’s a rescue and a flight risk & not safe with livestock!). Room to tuck in the car and shut the gate too!

Disliked Having to leave the next day… I will be back!

From the manager: I am not sure that this review is for us as we are not on the coast and our pitches each have their own shower and eco toilet.

Liked Wonderful stay , We arrived and were shown to the camping spot, shown how everything worked etc however upon unpacking the tent we realised we hadn’t brought any tent poles.
The host was great and after a very quick phone call he came back to the campground where we were embarrassed and worried what we’d do as I had no signal to find anywhere else to stay, he said give him 10 mins and it would be sorted - and it was! Absolutely above and beyond
We stayed in one of the pods which was absolutely perfect, clean and beautiful views
I would 100% recommend
