Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch (wild)

Liked This campsite is perfect! The host was lovely and accommodating for our late arrival, the peacefulness of the site was wonderful. The shower/toilet facilities were the best we have seen at a site as well as the bonus of the kitchen with a dining table and pots and pans to use. The stay was 10/10 and we will be returning!

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch (wild)

Liked I loved everything about this beautiful place the whole vibe of it. It has clean toilets & showers, a large kitchen area for when it’s raining & you are unable to cook outside, beautiful buildings, a stunning tree corridor you can walk through but what I loved the mostly was the beautiful peaceful surroundings, the spaced out pitches- the hosts are super friendly and seem to care about people’s experience not just squeezing lots if campers on site. It really is a unique site.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch (wild)

Liked Beautiful place, widely spaced pitches, lovely views. We received a nice welcome and quick tour around the whole site on arrival. Fire pits available for free, firewood for very reasonable fee. We loved playing by and in the river in the evening and in the morning and were thrilled to spot bats while by the river in the evening. Our daughter also loved the playground. We are hoping to return in the future!

Liked This campsite is nestled in the Shropshire countryside but easily accessible the facilities are good and very clean the owners were very helpful.
We were travelling as a couple and it was the bank holiday weekend so the campsite was full of family groups but seb the owner found us a little secluded spot between the two camping fields which was perfect for us
We will definitely return

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch (wild)

Liked What a special site. Seb, family and the team put so much love and care into what they do we enjoyed our time from beginning to end.

Facilities are fantastic and often someone close by to help or assist. Seb was onhand and greeted us as we arrived, shows us round and told us about the history of the farm and buildings and beautiful surrounding land. It was busy as expected for a bank holiday weekend but it never felt crowed or too intense and team were often doing an amazing job of cleaning the facilities, all friendly and helpful.

Seb was also super helpful when I made an error on booking and also took the time to show me spots he intuitively knew would be well suited for us.

I would definitely visit again and would love to find out where we can book the amazing hobbit house and Amsterdam room! The perfect site, everything you need and more and very welcoming team and so close to nature surrounding by beautiful countryside. Easy to find with their helpful instructions! Thanks for a great stay! Hope to back soon!

Disliked Noisey adult campers not respecting the quiet time rules and ranting about father ted till 1am 😅

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch (wild)

Liked What a beautiful hidden gem! I like the fact they seem to limit numbers of campers so there is space to feel peace and relaxation. The amenities were great, with a lovely kitchen and communal area. It meant that if you had forgotten something they had you covered.
The communication before arrival was personable and the welcome on arrival was amazing. It felt like being welcomed into their home! They are obviously proud of what they have to offer and rightfully so!

Wish it was closer to home as I would love to go back.

Local attractions

Based a mile from where the unpolluted River Vrynwy meets the River Severn, Sychpwll is cosy in winter and normally with a good climate in summer. There’s more than enough to do to keep everyone happy all year round, with those coming for walking or cycling holidays particularly having lots of choice. The hiking in this area gives world-class views, such as the famous Offa’s Dyke Path or one of the three routes to the landmark Rodney’s Pillar. Visitors can also visit local farmers’ markets or nearby Lake Vrynwy, or try their hand at one of the many activities nearby, including climbing, fishing, horse riding and watersports. Or, for those who like to hit a ball as hard as possible, tennis is available in town and there’s a golf course within half an hour’s drive. The market towns of Shrewsbury, Welshpool and Oswestry are around seven miles miles away for shopping, and there are plenty of days out at local attractions such as historic Powys Castle and the Welshpool to Llanfair Light Steam Railway. Culture vultures can go slightly further afield to Ludlow and Shrewsbury (around 13 miles away), for festivals, arts events and nights on the town.
