What customers say

This small, remote campsite offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Guests praised the sparkling clean and thoughtful facilities, including a microwave and kettle. The welcoming and kind owners contributed to a relaxed experience. The private feel, with only two pitches and two safari tents, was a highlight. The only noted drawback for one guest was the no-dogs policy, which is understandable due to grazing sheep.

Electric optional grass and gravel campervan pitch

Liked Couple of nights in the campervan at rainbow pods for a long overdue catch up with my bestie.
This site delivered everything we were looking for, relaxed and quiet, stunning views, super clean and thoughtful facilities, friendly welcoming owners.
It feels really private as only 2 pitches and 2 safari tents.

Disliked Only reason I’m unlikely to return is that it’s no dogs, which is perfectly reasonable as sheep are grazing in the field!

Local attractions

The scenery is simply stunning around here, so you’ll want to get out for a few walks or bike rides while you’re in the area. There’s plenty of variety as well, so you can take woodland walks at Dyfnant Forest (10 minutes’ drive), waterside wanders at Lake Vyrnwy (20 minutes) or waterfall walks at Pistyll Rhaeadr (45 minutes). And of course, the trails of Eryri are not far off either – Dolgellau (35 minutes) is a good place to go for a start. Castles are always in good supply in Wales too – and around here you can visit places like Powis Castle and Garden (half an hour), Montgomery Castle (35 minutes) and Chirk Castle (an hour). Other heritage visits include the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway (10 minutes), historic Gregynog Hall (20 minutes) and the impressive Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (an hour). Fancy a breath of sea air? The beaches of Fairbourne, Barmouth and Aberdyfi can all be reached with a drive of around an hour.
