Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked We stayed two nights here mid October with our two dogs and were very lucky with the weather. Friendly reception when we arrived. Lovely setting, quiet and amazing dark skies.
It is a good central point to visit different places around the vicinity.
Loved that every pitch has a table and water tap.

Some of the pitches are quite uneven (I know it’s Wales so to be expected!)
Our drainage site on the fully serviced pitch was a very long way away and unusable

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked We had the pitch that you can see on their header. Great views down the valley but this pitch is not as big as some others. Overall the pitches are of a generous size and the ones we could see all had their own picnic table, as well as being fully serviced pitches. Toilets and showers were clean.
We did not have children but we could see that they really enjoyed the play area.
The owners could not have been more helpful.

Disliked There seemed to be a lot of seasonal ( empty ) caravans around us. May be busier at the weekend.
The CV on the pitch next to us arrived at 10.30 one night. Need to impose a time limit on late arrivals.

Liked This is one of the most beautiful sites I have stayed on, the views were stunning and loved enjoying my morning coffee looking out. The site is very clean and well maintained with nice size pitches. The location was perfect with a lovely walk through the woods to the village pub. I can't wait to come back!

Four miles to the east is Machynlleth for the local street market on Wednesdays and getting techy at the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT); it's also home to a comedy festival in the spring. Aberystwyth is about a 40-minute drive south for shops, restaurants and nights out. If you’d rather escape the towns, explore the award-winning beaches and harbours (15 minutes' drive) for fishing and strolling. The Aberdyfi estuary’s beaches and sand dunes are some of the best kept in the country, and for those who fancy a round (of golf, that is), the area is also home to an award-winning golf course. For kitesurfers and boarders, beaches at Tywyn, Borth and Fairbourne (the furthest of which is 10 miles away) should offer some exciting sporting opportunities, with some even offering tuition. Back on dry land, the Dyfi Bike Park (10 minutes) is known as one of the best mountain bike locations in all the land. If you prefer more laidback days out, take a trip to Talyllyn’s steam railway (around eight miles away) or travel from Aberystwyth to Devil’s Bridge on the Vale of Rheidol steam railway line.
