Picturing a break in the Powys countryside? Then you'll probably be quite chuffed with Ty Llewelyn Glamping and Camping, a 13-acre rural site surrounded by gorgeous Powys greenery. Other quality family activities like barbecues and campfires are allowed here too, and with good night-time visibility you can look forward to storytelling under the stars.

Llanidloes on the River Severn is within walking distance if you fancy staying local and is home to a bakery, a well-stocked supermarket, a pub and a takeaway. Keep following the road along and you'll soon reach Llyn Clywedog (15 minutes' drive), a large reservoir with historic miners' buildings, fishing opportunities, an impressive concrete dam and spectacular views over 615 acres of water.

The Wales Coast Path is also within reach, and Ty Llewelyn Glamping and Camping is roughly three quarters of an hour from attractive seaside towns like Aberystwyth.

What a great site! Such a lovely location with gorgeous views all around - particularly the sunset.
A very well set out, dog friendly, peaceful site with allocated toilet per pitch and shared warm shower. What more could you ask for!

Maria made us feel so welcome, popping to see us each morning, providing ice packs and checking our wood supply for the fire pit.

The location was beautiful, only three camping pitches available but we were the only campers there the whole four night stay, Maria, the lady who owned the site was most friendly and helpful, she was waiting for us when we arrived and explained the procedure for using the toilet and shower, we chose our pitch which was large and level and was equipped with a picnic table and best of all a fire pit, her young son dropped off a bag of logs the first night and Maria replaced our freezer blocks each morning, we couldn't ask for more, you have to be reasonably self sufficient at this campsite but that's what we expected from the outset, a big thank you to Maria (I do that's your name, sorry if it's not)and her family we had a very pleasant and peaceful experience, we would definitely recommend, once again thanks.

Everything the belle tents are just lovely and have everything to make for a very comfortable stay the beds are so comfortable one of the best night sleeps I’ve had ,
The tents are very toasty and the hot showers and outdoor bath…AMAZING !!!😁
Attention to detail was perfect I would change nothing
Maria and her boys are just wonderful nothing was to much trouble and she was available almost immediately.
She is such a kind lady who genuinely cares about her customers needs and could not do enough for us …
She gave us so much information about where to go & what to do she honestly could not have been more helpful .
We stayed as a family with 2 teens & a toddler and not one of them complained of being bored or having nothing to do which is a bonus 😄
She even surprised my daughter with a cake balloons & card for her birthday 🥳
We will be back next year for sure & I have recommended Ty Llewelyn to family & friends it is a place everyone must experience.
    We can’t wait to return

Location is superb, in a stunning valley away from busy roads etc yet only 2 miles walk into the local town..... which is really lovely actually, with a number of good places to eat etc (Try the Angel PH - great food and Wye Valley ale). The camping is spread out well, level amongst the trees or in the open if you prefer, with stone circle fire pit, picnic table (very helpful for making and eating breakfast) and even a hammock! You can park up close to your tent which i very handy, and there is a decent shower and composting wc closeby. The host, and her two young lads, were most welcoming and in good spirits, with the lads bringing us some logs for the fire, all in.

We had a wonderful stay in a lotus belle tent at Ty Llewelyn. Maria and family couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and they really made the holiday special for us. The tent was beautiful and very comfortable - the super cosy duvet and log burner kept us nice and warm at night. The kitchen area was well equipped and we made good use of it and the fire pit /bbq. The site itself is peaceful and green and there's plenty of space between the glamping pitches. I hope to stay again in future.

    Disliked:

The solar lights in the kitchen weren't very bright on cloudy days and the battery powered lights in the tent were nice for mood lighting but not very practical. You definitely need at least one good torch or lantern at night.

Nothing was disliked but the logs provided for our fire were far too thick so we had to find smaller ones ourselves but really not the end of the world as the woods were a 2min walk away.

We found a little bit of heaven in mid Wales. Our 4 night stay at Ty Llewelyn just worked! We were camping with own tent, and the pitch amongst the trees was lovely. Children eventually got used to the composting loo, and is all they have talked about since!! Quiet and peaceful, lovely countryside and stream to explore and plenty of places nearby. Great firepit for evenings with marshmallows! Maria and family so helpful and welcoming. Don't change or grow too much, thank you!
