Camping pod (family)

Liked Very quiet site, showers were warm and clean. Unexpected bonus of a kettle and microwave. Plenty of outdoor seating options next to our pod. Little stream next to the pod which trickled nicely. Blackout blinds were useful. Play area in good working order.

Disliked Shower facilities needed more hooks for clothes etc but that's more of a suggestion than dislike.
However we were concerned about the bunk beds for our children. They are very narrow with nothing to stop the top sleeper from falling off. We decided to put both mattresses on the floor instead but I don't feel this place is suitable to sleep 4 unless you move the beds.

From the manager: A one night stay here at Cringoed, so disappointed with your comments, For so many years now we have welcomed families back here because the children love it. A modern play area, our own countryside walk and access to the river, Children most welcome far from being unfriendly.

The facilities need more hooks, what a shame you are so negative, really they are are spotless, minor improvements are always welcome but fault finding combined with poor marking is simply unreasonable. The bunk beds are not the biggest but you would have been aware of this before arriving. or booking.

Thankfully so many positive reviews over the summer, hope to see you again soon.

Would highly recommend

Camping pod (family)

Liked Was in a peaceful location, with a small park, there is a lovely stream that the kids loved to play in, not our usual campsite, as location was quite secluded, need to enjoy driving to get to other destinations, however the scenery makes the drive worth while. The kids had a fab time as did we, we enjoyed family time with the kids playing games and enjoying the open space. Site was clean and tidy, facilities were fab, the toilets were spotless, kitchen and washing machine available, for people to use. Visited the King Arthur labrynth about half hour drive away which is good if you have children. Friendly owners.

Electric optional gravel touring pitch

Liked Fabulous location, the best dog walking field ever and a river to cool them in afterwards, lots of local walks (which we weren’t able to make best use of due to being there in the heatwave), very good showers, spacious pitch, super friendly cafe and small shop in the village. Everyone on site, owner, warden and residents made us feel welcome and the site was clean and tidy, mown short where it needed to be but still plenty left for wild flowers and nature. We enjoyed our six night immensely

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Lots to do. small playground for kids, enclosed and well maintained land that was 5 acres for the dog to run around. The site was well maintained such as grass cutting and water hoses were easily accessible. Wash facilities and toilets were well equipped and showers wernt the push every 2 second type. Your greeted and took to your pitch and they explain were everything is and how to access the stream, dog field and so on but dont over stay. Just loved the fact it was all readily accessible and made for a lovely bank holiday weekend with the family.

Disliked Shower cubicles were really tiny and no disabled ones on site or maybe just a little bit more room but we managed fine for the weekend. No local shops to grab essentials but this worked for us.

Liked Owner came to great us and showed us our pitch which was amazingly placed, giving privacy and space around us, proper toilet block with showers plus amazing washing up facilities. The site is amazing and we will be looking to use again for our next trip in the area.

Liked What a beautiful campsite. Absolutely just what we were looking for to recreate childhood memories with our son. The river at the back was the perfect touch. Well kept site with the most pleasant owners, nothing was too much and Paul came to check how our visit was going whilst we were there. Showers amongst the best we've experienced on a campsite yet and the toilet blocks were always clean. We cannot wait to come back over and over again.

Disliked That we had to pack up and come home on the hottest day 😂

Liked Pitch was large although we were the only campervan there so space was not an issue. It’s a static van site primarily which is well looked after and very pretty. It’s a quiet place to stop overnight and easy to get to. The facilities were ok, a little tired looking but the water was lovely and hot for both washing up and showering. It was a quiet and peaceful stopover and would stay overnight here again.

Disliked Nothing really.
