What customers say

This well-maintained campsite is praised for its peaceful, rural location and beautiful surroundings, including a lovely stream and play area. Visitors highlight the friendly, helpful owners and immaculate facilities, particularly the clean and hot showers. While some minor improvements like additional hooks in showers are suggested, and a few reviewers noted issues with bunk bed safety or a need for more frequent cleaning in certain areas, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests highly recommending the site and planning to return.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Not a lot

Disliked Poor for tent pitches. Pitches on small strips of grass next to caravans. Park in beautiful countryside but you can’t see it as over planted with trees. Tent pitches in shade until early afternoon.

From the manager: There are times when I'm lost for words, having spent time welcoming this retired gentleman to our park. Offering him a quiet spot away from the camping area ( lots of Children) for him to be so critical is simply unreasonable. So its rural Wales with undulating landscape oh and too many trees.

I suggest in future stick to the towns, mix with the kids, truly astonishing comments and factually wrong.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Scenic site with trials all around so if you are a fan of trekking, this seems like a good place to visit. I really enjoyed the river at the campsite to dip my toes into the cold stream.

Disliked Not too many running routes if you are a runner. There are some a brief driving distance from the campsite.

Camping pod (family)

Liked Very quiet site, showers were warm and clean. Unexpected bonus of a kettle and microwave. Plenty of outdoor seating options next to our pod. Little stream next to the pod which trickled nicely. Blackout blinds were useful. Play area in good working order.

Disliked Shower facilities needed more hooks for clothes etc but that's more of a suggestion than dislike.
However we were concerned about the bunk beds for our children. They are very narrow with nothing to stop the top sleeper from falling off. We decided to put both mattresses on the floor instead but I don't feel this place is suitable to sleep 4 unless you move the beds.

From the manager: A one night stay here at Cringoed, so disappointed with your comments, For so many years now we have welcomed families back here because the children love it. A modern play area, our own countryside walk and access to the river, Children most welcome far from being unfriendly.

The facilities need more hooks, what a shame you are so negative, really they are are spotless, minor improvements are always welcome but fault finding combined with poor marking is simply unreasonable. The bunk beds are not the biggest but you would have been aware of this before arriving. or booking.

Thankfully so many positive reviews over the summer, hope to see you again soon.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked We stayed here for two nights camping. A beautiful, peaceful and exceptionally clean site.
The views are breathtaking and the owners are lovely and welcoming.
The showers are clean and hot, it was perfect for our family of 4 and our dog.
The dog exercise field is much appreciated, plenty of room for the kids and dog to run around. We all loved the creek too!
We will certainly be back, the owners were very kind to let us stay a little longer to pack up too.
