Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Loved staying on this working farm. Hearing the cows mooing added to its charm. The toilet and shower block was fantastic. Each toilet and shower was an individual self contained room. From the camp there are some lovely countryside walks, by just passing through the camping field.

Disliked: Nothing … it was perfect. The best we have ever visited.

Liked: Pleased with this family site. Good location, decent pitches and nice to have stream and farm animals on site. Appreciated the access to a kettle, microwave and charging points which made life easier without electric.

Disliked: My children found the locking system on the toilet doors difficult.

Liked: We had a lovely experience staying at the farm. The owners were very helpful and friendly and made it a better experience for the whole family. The toilets were very clean and had all the amenities for a great camping experience. The site is well located near town of Brecon so it made it easier for shopping for food etc. Will recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping holiday.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Wonderful campsite, quiet, clean and well maintained. The owners are very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble! The showers are clean and hot, the toilets are cleaned regularly. The campsite provide wood and a campfire for a small cost, definitely worth it. There's lots of farm animals to see and pet. Overall would highly recommend and we will be visiting again.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: What a fantastic campsite - really lovely and friendly with loads of wholesome activities for the kids. We were dam building, stomping up the river and even a quick dip. That was before we got to visit all of the farm animals. Its a great base to walk from, an easy stroll into Brecon itself. Everything was clean the facilities were everything that we needed. Hot showers and clean toilets.

Disliked: Nothing!

Local attractions

So much activity awaits in the Brecon Beacons National Park: pick a gentle hike around woods and waterfalls if you want, or get stuck in to scaling Pen y Fan (25 minutes’ drive away and southern Britain’s highest mountain). Horse riders can saddle up at the stables 10 minutes away, while those who like to zoom around on mountain bikes can get some speed up at BikePark Wales (25 minutes). The outdoorsy antics don’t end there – Brecon’s something of a hub for such things, and activity centres around the town can sort you with rafting, canoeing, high ropes courses and gorge scrambling. All sound a bit too exhausting? Take a more leisurely ride on the Brecon Mountain Railway (25 minutes) before heading home via the Penderyn whisky distillery (20 minutes). Break out of the Beacons for trips to some of the area’s other attractions: Llandovery Castle is half an hour away, as is the book-loving town of Hay-on-Wye. A little further north but worth a trip are the lakes of the Elan valley and the red kite feeding station in Rhyader; both are around an hour’s drive away.
