  • Small rural site on an 11-acre farm, half a mile from Dihewyd
  • Motorbiker friendly and specialist groups welcome
  • A 15-minute drive from the coast at Aberaeron and Cardigan Bay
Motorbikers – Maesymeillion Farm is the place for you. As it is for mountain bikers, hardy hikers, birdwatchers, horse riders, fell runners, swimmers and adventure seekers… as the friendly team point out, the farm is very much an excellent base for outdoor adventures of all sorts. After a slower pace of life? No problem. More placid pursuits are easily pursued too, as Maesymeillion Farm is in prime position for dolphin spotting and beach days around the Cardigan coast: the seaside town of Aberaeron and the wildlife haven of Cardigan Bay are 15 minutes’ drive away. And for those guests who like hols to be so laidback as to be almost horizontal, even more placid times are easily had on site, as this is a top stargazing spot too and in a setting of spectacular views across land and sea. The farm welcomes everyone from solo travellers to families to motorbike groups – and dogs. It’s a peaceful place to come back to after a day out and about, set rurally in a quiet area on 11 acres of land at 1,000 feet above sea level. Although it’s lushly remote, the farm has easy access to main roads and is only half a mile from its local village of Dihewyd; Lampeter is 20 minutes’ drive away. Amenities on site include showers, toilets, disabled facilities, a washing-up area, chemical disposal and free wifi. Barbecues and campfires are allowed.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch (large)

Liked: What more can you ask from a campsite , right from the start was met by a great guy called Mike and he shown me around the site and it was late when we arrived and very dark , the owner Chris had left us instructions about the whole site and how to find everything . The kitchen , toilet and shower facilitities you cannot fault , clean and spotless . The kitchen had everything as in pots and pans and everything you could need and had games and a TV too . When we got too the site on the first night Mike wanted to help us with landrover lights but because it being camping we wanted to do it ourselves , because we got there late we set up the tent up wrong and it let and Chris the owner was brilliant and gave us loads of towels to dry the tent and if we needed anymore help we could knock on her door anytime , Chris was always there throughout the stay asking do we need help or need anything and and could not be helpful enough , so thank you Chris and thank you for this amazing week just a shame about the weather but thank you

Electric optional grass tent pitch (medium)

Liked: The campsite was very welcoming and the lovely owner gave us a tour of the facility’s. I could ask for anything more when visiting a camp site. Even our neighbors were ever welcoming and they blew up our bed as our pump was not working.

Liked: We had such an amazing time. Chris couldn’t do enough to settle us in and anything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The cleanliness of the site was amazing. The kitchen with microwaves and air fryers and fridges were just so helpful and great place to hide from the rain and mingle with other campers

Electric optional grass tent pitch (small)

Liked: Lovely tour on arrival by Chris, shown all the amenities for use including well stocked kitchen area that saved having to get camping stove out. Really useful too if it was poor weather. Fridge, freezer, microwave, hot plates, kettle, tea and coffee. Large flat field, could choose own pitch, only two other tents there. Good value for money.

Disliked: Not really much hot water so gave showers a miss as only there one night!

Non-electric grass tent pitch (medium)

Liked: Chris and Mike were amazing hosts, So friendly and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and couldn't do enough for us. Showers were always hot and clean and the facility's were great with the kitchen area having washing up sinks, microwaves, air fryers and overn with all utensils, plates and cups, also has an ice machine which was my personal favourite thing lol you really don't have to go without on this site. Lovely quiet location with plenty of room also super dog friendly with there own dog walking field. Would highly recommended staying here.

From the manager: What a great week you both had until the last minute when you left site. I really hope all is repairable for you. Its a pleasure to have you with us and considering how nervous the dog was (Larry) he was always wagging his tail and enjoyed his play with his new friend Maverick. We are pleased that the weather held out for you so that you could get out and about. Thank you for the feedback it is greatly appreciated.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (medium)

Liked: Very friendly and relaxed campsite with very helpful owners. Spacious camping fields, good facilities with hot showers and a large, well equipped indoor kitchen/dining area. Grass in the fields is not mown short, this is for the bees & butterflies 💛 (bring waterproof footwear if you walk around in the morning before the sun dries the grass) A very peaceful site with lovely views. We stayed for 2 nights and will definitely be returning. We had a lovely weekend away. Thank you

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and information for other campers. It is greatly appreciated. Although we are not a pristine site (especially as we leave hedgerows long for the birds, bugs and butterflies as they lay there eggs between late spring and into August). We do try to make sure that the field and camping facilities are kept well. We take on board about the grass length and will try to keep it much shorter whilst still leaving some clover for the bees as no one likes wet feet (I always hate that too). Take care and hope to see you again soon.

From the manager: Thank you so much for the lovely review. Yes the weather was not at all kind to us for sure. Still children (both big and small enjoyed themselves for sure). Hope your drive back home was better than your journey to us. Hope to see you all again in the future :) Chris and team
