Electric grass pitch

Liked: Really small and friendly site. Collin was so welcoming and returned my email and phone call in regards to a query I had. Really well kept site with a pub and well stocked shop walkable from the site. Very quiet area and so peaceful and relaxing. All the other site users were so friendly too. Really good toilets and showers that are kept immaculate. Have already booked a return visit for next year. Great location for getting around the rest of Ceredigion. If you like a quiet and peaceful site thats well maintained don't hesitate to book. You won't be disappointed.

Disliked: Nothing at all. Just the fact I had to come home.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: A great welcome and introduction to the facilities. The facilities were as described, and the shower block was clean and well maintained.

The local shop at the garage was well stocked and walkable within minutes. The local community pub is being renovated so no food served currently but drinks and a warm welcome were available.

Can recommend the site, quiet, lots of birdsong and spacious camping pitches.

Close to attractions in Newquay, Aberaeron, Lampeter with a level of bus service available.

Liked: Friendly and helpful manager.
Quiet site with spotless facilities.

Disliked: Probably nothing you can do about it, but it would have been nice to have a dog walk.
Had to walk along fairly busy road to get to any footpaths.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Love how quiet it is here. The facilities are always spotless (we have stayed before) and we never have to queue.

Disliked: Price has gone up quite a bit - which we understand - but feel they are pricing themselves out of the game now. We have found somewhere closer to the coast that’s a fair bit cheaper for more facilities.

Local attractions

This part of the Aeron Valley has plenty of trails where walkers and cyclists can soak up some of the scenery, and you can also get out for horse rides or go fishing in nearby lakes and rivers. The National Trust’s Llanerchaeron property (five minutes’ drive) is a lovely place for a wander through the walled garden and farmyard, and the pretty displays of Cae Hir Gardens (five minutes) are also worth a visit. Over at the coast, there are lots of great places to eat in Aberaeron (10 minutes), and it’s got a busy programme of events including a seafood festival and a carnival. New Quay (15 minutes) has the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre as well as those dolphin-spotting trips, and there are lots of beaches to try out, including Llanrhystud (20 minutes) and Llangrannog (half an hour). There’s often something going on in the university town of Lampeter (10 minutes) too, and it’s got a couple of museums and a town trail tracing the town’s importance in the history of Welsh rugby.
