Liked The bell tent was sent up perfectly for a mum and two teenagers. Clean, and well kitted out.
My son was impressed with how little the compost loo smelled!
The view was amazing.
Helen was so kind and helpful and flexible.

Bell tent

Liked The campsite is basic in the best possible sense. It has everything you need and nothing you don't. Really nice couple run it, very helpful and accommodating without being in your face. The pitches are well separated. We hired a bell tent which had beds, as well as fire pit and stove outside. Zero light pollution so great night skies. The awesome Mwnt beach is a lovely 20 min walk away. We saw dolphins.

Disliked We seriously underestimated how cold an August night can be. Bring plenty of blankets.

Liked Such a lovely campsite. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind, and they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We will definitely be returning.

The pancakes for breakfast were absolutely delicious, and we loved the added bonus of the friendly chickens and ducks on site. The facilities were spotless, and the campsite’s location is perfect—just a short distance from the beach.

Thank you for a wonderful stay and for having us. We can’t wait to come back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Liked We had a wonderful stay at Mwnt Camping. The campsite is in a beautiful location, and the stunning beach with amazing walking trails is only a 4-5 minute drive away. The atmosphere was peaceful, clean, and very relaxing. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was great and we would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Wales.

Liked Location is stunning. Spacious pitches, very quiet and open site but a great degree of due to the good spacing between campers. Whole site is well maintained and tidy. Composting loos were a new experience but very easy to get the hang of and no smell! The beach nearby is a bit of a trek on foot but manageable, there is a car park if you’re bringing a paddleboard or other heavier items. The owners provided easy to read maps, with illustrations, if you want to go to the beach on foot. The owners are friendly and approachable, and we felt very welcome.

Disliked Nothing at all, it was a perfect weekend.

You’ll want to start (quite possibly immediately upon arrival) with a walk to Mwnt beach, about 20 minutes away on foot. The sandy stretch here is nicely sheltered for swimming, paddleboarding and canoeing – and you can often spot dolphins while you’re sitting on the beach or taking a walk on the Ceredigion Coast Path. If you’d like to up your chances of a close-up audience with the marine mammals, head to New Quay (half an hour’s drive) to join a wildlife-spotting boat trip. For more insights into the local nature, pay a visit to the Welsh Wildlife Centre (20 minutes) – perhaps stopping at Cilgerran Castle (15 minutes) for a sniff of Welsh history at a medieval fortress too.
