What customers say

This is a peaceful, spacious campsite with beautiful views and a relaxed atmosphere, located a short walk from the beach. Guests praised the friendly owners, the convenience of the outdoor showers, and the rustic cabin accommodation. Basic but clean toilet facilities are provided. While some found the site a little basic for the price and noted the lack of bins or roof on showers, many appreciated the close-to-nature experience and the opportunity to choose their own pitch. The site is ideal for those seeking tranquility.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely spacious field flat and the deive in was hard gravel. Toilet and shower block nice and clean with a washinf up station. No hit water tap but a gas burner and pots available to heat water up to wash up.

Biggest bonus was the orange flag trail through the fields down to the beach. Lovely 20 mins strole. Rocky beach with a few arcades and a bar.

Disliked Nothing really. There is no rubbish bins as stated on pitch up which can be a little annoying but as we was on motorbikes they did offer for us to leave our bag of rubbish but as they took a while to answer we had to strap it on the bike till we found a bin

Local attractions

It’s likely that you’ll be popping to Aberystwyth (five minutes’ drive) for supplies – but don’t limit your outing to just the shops, as this coastal town also has a castle and museum to visit and the funicular Cliff Railway to ride. You can also board the Vale of Rheidol Railway here for a trip to the Devil’s Bridge waterfalls. Elsewhere along the coast it’s worth visiting Borth (10 minutes) at low tide to see the petrified forest, or heading a little further along the coast for a day in Aberaeron (half an hour), often described as one of the prettiest seaside locations in Wales. New Quay (45 minutes) should be on the cards for dolphin-spotting boat trips too. Back on land, there’s more wildlife to see at RSPB Ynys-hir nature reserve (20 minutes) or Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest (20 minutes), which has walking and bike trails as well as a red kite feeding centre where you can see the big birds up close as they swoop in for their lunch.
