Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Great location. Level site ideal for dogs. Clean campsite

Disliked: Expensive for no electric and no bins. Shower block needs a roof which would cost minimal amount of money.

From the manager: Customer didn’t read the information on the website before coming! Clearly Ste’s please take all your rubbish , the showers are open topped and the pitches don’t have electric hookups.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Nice flat field, grass had been cut, good views and nice walk to beach and coastpath. Peace and quiet. Such a refreshing change not to have loud music and dogs barking constantly. Basic site with clean toilets and a unique outdoor shower, with hot water. Definitely stay again. For the price paid excellent value for money.

Disliked: No soap in toilet and only cold water.

Liked: Toilets were clean views was amazing site was quiet and peacefull

Disliked: The only thing would be the toilets to be a little wider. The cubicles are a little small and I'm quite a big girl.

1 bedroom cabin

Liked: One of the best places we've ever stayed! Loved the cabin, the privacy, the orchard, peace and quiet, outdoor shower, comfy bed and chairs, dining on the decking, compost loo. Our dog also had a great time zooming (on long lead) in the entrance field!
Close to Aber and Borth.
We hope to return!

Disliked: Cooker was temperamental, but owner quickly supplied a spare.
A glass or plastic bowl for microwave cooking would be useful, and a small mirror near the sink. But minor issues.
We've previously stayed in a few shepherds huts but liked this cabin better, much roomier.

Local attractions

It’s likely that you’ll be popping to Aberystwyth (five minutes’ drive) for supplies – but don’t limit your outing to just the shops, as this coastal town also has a castle and museum to visit and the funicular Cliff Railway to ride. You can also board the Vale of Rheidol Railway here for a trip to the Devil’s Bridge waterfalls. Elsewhere along the coast it’s worth visiting Borth (10 minutes) at low tide to see the petrified forest, or heading a little further along the coast for a day in Aberaeron (half an hour), often described as one of the prettiest seaside locations in Wales. New Quay (45 minutes) should be on the cards for dolphin-spotting boat trips too. Back on land, there’s more wildlife to see at RSPB Ynys-hir nature reserve (20 minutes) or Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest (20 minutes), which has walking and bike trails as well as a red kite feeding centre where you can see the big birds up close as they swoop in for their lunch.
