Kestrel fully-serviced grass campervan pitch

Liked: stunning views, quiet, enough to entertain a 5 year old. Felt welcomed and directed to my pitch. Yes the lanes are fun, both routes, but that's the joys of having a site located where it is :)

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Simon for leaving your review of your recent stay with us. Love the photogrpah, we dont think you can have too many sunset photos ever. That is the compromise of booking a quiet, peaceful beautiful holiday park stay, the best ones are away from the beaten track and takes some finding, but once you do then totally worth it.

Electric grass touring caravan pitch

Liked: Excellent site with a fantastic sea view and friendly staff who insisted on helping us unhook the van and did an excellent job levelling it on the grass pitch which sloped both ways. We were sited next to our son's family and our grandchildren made lots of friends on the play area and enjoyed the enclosed, warm swimming pool.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Ian. It is great to hear that you had such a great time with the family on our grass touring caravan pitches. We will pass on your positive comments to our hard working wardens who do as much as they can to help make your stay more enjoyable and stress free. Thse friendships will last for years.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Staff at reception were amazing, especially Jenny. Lovely swimming pool, just a pity the beach was not sand, will definately return. Amazing sunsets.

Disliked: The beach.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for leaving your review of your recent stay with us on Red Kite 8, one of our favourite spots of all the hardstanding pitches. The beach is not to everyones liking but it is unique to be able to sit in quiet on most days on a beach in Wales, our closest sandy beach is absolutely stunning, Ynyslas we always point our customers that direction for a good few miles of golden sand.

Unfortunately wouldn’t return. Very remote site without a car.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Views were great. Facilities were clean and staff friendly. Site was big. Great park and pool for small Kids. Very tidy everywhere.

Disliked: Nothing around the site at all. Not even a local shop. Long drive up a very narrow track road back to the main roads. Nothing in walking distance at all. Beach all big rocks and quite dangerous. Not a beach for swimming or even having a dip.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hey, thank you for taking the time to leave your review of your recent stay with us on one of our seaview hardstanding fully serviced touring pitches. We will pass on your very favourable comments to our park team who work tirelessly to keep everything as it should be to give such a high level of accommodation to all of our customers. We find it a little confusing that even after your researching where to stay, looking at reviews, google maps and webpages you did not visit the park reception 'essentials' shop, ice creams, drinks, essentials such as bread and milk, snack foods, camping essentials. Even in the confirmation email you receive we ask for an arrival and departure time to be kept to so as not to meet traffic on the narrow 2 mile lane into the park. We highlight our proximity to the Wales coastal path which takes you direct into Aberystwyth, our nearest town. We make a point to ask if you have ever caught a lobster dinner as our rocky beach is ideal for crab fishing, messing in rock pools or just to sit on a rock watching out for dolphins and sea birds. We have regular swimming sessions direct from our step access to the beach and quite a lot of kayak users and surfers use the access as the beach gives a lot of privacy and is never too busy. The big positive to take from your dislikes is that there is nothing around the site at all, except, peace, quiet and bucket fulls of relaxation

What an amazing location! Stunning grounds and very well kept amenities. Beautiful…

Sunset Strip 2 bedroom static caravan (pet friendly)

Liked: What an amazing location! Stunning grounds and very well kept amenities. Beautiful view. Kids play area very good for my 8 year old.

Disliked: Pool could have been warmer, certainly didn’t feel like 29 degrees.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for your review of your recent stay with us. We will pass on your positive comments to our team who work tirelessly to keep everything as it should be. There is a bit of science to why the pool does not feel like 29', air temperature, body temperature etc but far warmer than the sea at 11'

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Second time staying here and we loved it just as much.. beautifully kept site and great pool for the children. We didn't catch the sunset this time due to bad weather but it surely doesn't disappoint if you manage to catch it. Has great park for the kiddies and blocks are spotless!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Katie, it is really sad that you missed the sunsets but we had a few nights of sea mist, lots of photographs of the sunsets from past evening to see on the photo gallery. Hopefully you will get to see them first hand again when you are back with us.

When coming from the Midlands stay on the A44 all the way into Aberystwyth. Ignore the satnav trying to direct you through Devil's Bridge (narrow lanes). When travelling from Aberystwyth, follow A487 direction Towing. In a large vehicle, ignore the satnav until you drive through the village of Blaenplwyf then take the well-signposted lane to the park. Light vehicles can use the first turning.

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
