Family-friendly site

General

  • Family park less than a mile from the beach at Borth
  • Less than five miles from Aberystwyth
  • Indoor pool, bowling alley, restaurant, food shop and playground

Whether it’s whizzing down the flume, splashing about in the indoor pool, or bowling around the mini ten-pin alley, there’s plenty to keep younger members of the family occupied at Brynowen Holiday Park. The site sits in prime west Wales countryside, less than a mile from the beach, so the view from here is pretty engaging too...

Brynowen is part of the Parkdean Resorts group, so guests benefit from the usual wide range of activities and entertainment, including kids’ clubs for all ages, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and evening fun such as cabaret, live bands, competitions and theme nights.

The park also has a restaurant and a takeaway, a food shop, a TV room and a games room.

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Single-sex bookings of 4 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Single-sex parties of three or more people under 25 are not permitted on site.

My fault, didn't read the details and wanted to avoid any franchised parks but this is a Park Dean Resort, not our cup of tea. Thankfully we were only staying one night. Didn't experience the toilets or the hospitality. Reception staff are polite.

    Disliked:

Caravans/motorhomes seem to be an after thought. The pitch size was concrete but too small in width and length for a medium sized motorhome.

Easy access to water area, shower and toilet block not far away, good to have some entertainment considering Covid circumstances. Large site and very child friendly. Short walk to the beach, and have a convenience shop on site.

    Disliked:

Poor hygiene in the toilet block, no hand soap or toilet roll for most of our stay.

    Disliked:

Restaurant service was awful. Ordered our meal at 7.30pm and it was 8.45pm when we had our starter after complaining. Main course never arrived by 9.10pm so after enquiring where it was, it was going to be ready at 9.30pm but we were offered the sweet course instead which we accepted. So we came from there having no mains. Children very upset. Ended up going back to our Motorhome to cook for ourselves. Very disappointing evening.

Awful site for tourers - will not go back25/03/2020

    The Reception staff were friendly

    Disliked:

The touring pitches were very small. The area was littered with rubbish and old statics. The chemical disposal was insanitary and the tap didn't work. We were told there was a water point near the touring pitches but all we could find were some pipes for attaching to a static unit's water system so our hose pipe attachments wouldn't fit. We had to fill our fresh water tank using a 5 litre plastic container. It took ages to just get enough water in to be able to use our taps/toilet flush and we got soaking wet as the wind was blowing water all over us. The photos on their web site bear no relationship to the actual touring pitches. We later found photos taken by someone else who stayed there 2 years ago - looked the same - awful. We left after one night.

    Right by beach

    Disliked:

    Very run down site.
Pot holes and uneven patching slabs everywhere.
    No lighting in dark.
Hard standing pitch is just big enough to put your campervan on, it rained overnight and it all ran off the mountains which made the whole park a washout and it was like stepping into a mud swomp when we open van door could do with each pitch having a row of plathing slabs so your not stepping onto grass.
