Top Field non-electric grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Very quiet site with very spacious pitches. Local pub nearby is very friendly. The owners of the site were very accommodating and the fire pits are a lovely touch. Clean well kept facilities and self checkin works well.
Disliked Nothing to dislike on site. The road to it is narrow (one way traffic) not a camp issue but just a warning to go steady on this road.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. Campsite is excellent.
Top Field non-electric grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Large pitch, with decent gaps between campers. Facilities were as advertised and clean. Location is excellent, close to a local pub and 20 minute drive from local town, but far surrounded by countryside so no disturbances.

What customers say
This is a peaceful, quiet, adults-only campsite in a beautiful rural location with stunning views. Pitches are spacious and well-maintained. Facilities, including clean showers and toilets, are generally considered adequate and well-kept. Owners are frequently praised for being friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Some visitors noted narrow access roads and the occasional need for levelling ramps due to uneven ground. Manager replies indicate plans for toilet block refurbishment and improvements to access routes.

From the manager: Dear Janine
Thank you for your review. Glad you liked our site. We are accessed by narrow roads that’s why it clearly states in our information small campervans up to 5m long. Your Motorhome was 7.5 m long and 2.5 m wide. Far bigger than we normally accept and have every right to turn you away as you are too big. The showers are £1 in the honesty box. For unlimited time. Full electric piping hot showers. You didn’t have to put a £1 in. Most site sites charge by the minute! Facilities…freezer, hot running water, proper flushing toilets, camp shop with milk, eggs, drinks and essentials, proper washing up area and sink with washing up liquid provided, fire pits and logs available, hand wash and paper towels provided in the toilets at no extra charge, no club house or noisy dogs and children. The perfect quiet getaway. The pub is lovely and is a walk of about 12 minutes with refreshing beer and wine or soft drinks and great food. We are always happy to take people up there free of charge if they ask as there is a hill to go up on the last bit. As always with us ….feel free to ask and we will help where we can.
Quite site in a nice location.

Top Field electric grass and earth tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Back to basics, with the addition of VERY hot water, shower, toilet, super wash up facilities, small freezer for ice blocks & a few extras, FRIENDLY, fabulous views & walks, great little pub. Simple, but wonderfully organised.
Disliked That we couldn’t have stopped longer (work calls us home)

Liked Great location. Lovely size.
Disliked Toilet block needs updating. Electric hook ups need weatherproofing.

From the manager: Thanks for your review. You were out last camper of the season and we’ve had biblical rainfall. The proper 4 way electrics were available but the pitch you were on was on a temporary extension due to the soggy ground but still connected to the main box. So perfectly safe. The toilet and shower block has been very well used this year with a lot of campers and will be refurbished over the closed season as we do every year. So if coming back in warmer times you will find them stick and span again. Look forward to seeing you again next year. Thanks
Andre
Thank you for an amazing stay.
