  • Well-kept family-run park just off the A487 at Llanon
  • A 10-minute drive to Aberaeron and 25 minutes to Aberystwyth
  • A short walk to a shingle beach and the Ceredigion Coast Path
What a wonderful location for a break close to the Ceredigion coast. Family-run Woodlands Holiday Park is in a very handy spot just off the A487 (the main road running along the west coast of Wales) and about half a mile from Llanon village centre (home to a pub, a butcher, a convenience store, a fish and chip shop and bus stops for jaunts by public transport). And that’s just the practical side of things, because this lovely location is also just a few minutes’ walk from the coast for a shingle beach and access to the Ceredigion Coast Path. There are plenty more walks to be had in the surrounding area as well, and plenty more excellent coastal spots to explore – Aberaeron (10 minutes’ drive) and Aberystwyth (25 minutes) are a couple of the top picks, along with New Quay (20 minutes), a dolphin-spotting hub. So that’s the location, but what about the park? Well, it’s a well-maintained and peaceful place with a good list of useful facilities including wifi, a launderette, a washing-up area and bathrooms with toilets and showers. Dogs and kids are both welcome, and guests are allowed to bring along a barbecue for a bit of alfresco cookery.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked A quiet site in a nice location. Walking distance from the beach (very rocky) and the town, which has a shop & a pub. Lovely coastal walk nearby. The amenities were kept clean with good showers. Poor internet signal in the area. The town has a bus route to both Aberystwyth and New Quay. Would recommend for a quiet stay.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Close to the beach and town, price was reasonable

Disliked Backed onto houses, pitched next to a mouldy caravan that has been left there, toilet block is far away in static site, pitches are sloped.

From the manager: We would like to Thank you for taking the time to review our Holiday Park. The Touring Caravan on the next pitch was in the process of being cleaned by the owners family, due to the owners ill health, (this is a seasonal pitch), and unfortunately it had not been completed at the time of your stay.
We would also like to point out that whilst all grass pitches are generally level (no big slopes) there will always be a slight difference over the whole area of the pitch. We would therefore advise anyone with a Camper van/Motorhome booking a grass pitch to bring levelling chocks with them. This will enable you to adjust the level of your vehicle depending upon the location of the vehicles wheels.
The Toilet and Shower block is located along a short tarmac road, approximately 110 metres from the touring field. access to this is good and parking is available next to reception for anyone with mobility issues.
Please note there is a high fence providing privacy from the properties on the right hand side of the touring field.

Very clean site, toilet block was very accessible and clean also. Seasonal…

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very clean site, toilet block was very accessible and clean also. Seasonal campers were very friendly & helpful. Very close to the sea & access to pebble beach just a few minutes from the site. Such a peaceful site. Paid wifi but it was great connection.

Disliked Check in was done over the phone, didn't see one member of staff. Would have been nice to find out more about the local area but didn't affect our stay too much.
