What customers say

This is a spacious and well-maintained campsite with friendly, helpful staff and good facilities, including a play area and a useful campers' bothy. It's conveniently located for exploring Kinross and Loch Leven. While many guests praised the cleanliness and value, some noted that the shower facilities are dated and require payment. The proximity to the M90 can result in some traffic noise.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Plenty of space and we were able to park our car next to our tent.
Tables were available.
Great view.
Staff were lovely, especially Stevie. He showed us all the local amenities, transport (e.g.- to Edinburgh) and made us feel welcome.
We decided to leave a day early due to fatigue but were given a day’s refund!

Disliked £1 for a 6 minute shower was a bit tight, especially because the coin machine was outside the cubicle, so you had to basically run out naked if you wanted another 6 minutes. At least the shower itself was good- warm and strong power.

Liked We had a wonderful stay on the grass pitch. Everything was just perfect — spacious, clean, and well-kept. The atmosphere was peaceful, and we truly enjoyed every moment. Couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!

Disliked Showers required extra payment, which was a bit inconvenient.

Local attractions

Get to know Perth (20 minutes’ drive) on a self-guided Treasure Hunt Trail, or head further afield to the historic university town of St Andrews (50 minutes), which pulls in visitors to explore the cathedral and castle, or play golf on the fabled Old Course. When big-city lights come calling, head for the museums, art galleries and upscale shops of Edinburgh (55 minutes). You’ll be in pole position to learn something of Scottish history at Gallowhill; Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in foreboding waterside Lochleven Castle (10 minutes) in 1567, while Scone Palace (half an hour) was once the crowning place of Scottish kings and is now open for guided tours of lush interiors. Former home of King James IV, Stirling Castle (45 minutes) has an ornate Great Hall restored to its 16th-century splendour and interactive displays in its Victorian-era kitchens. If you’re rather potter about in the fresh air, stride across Fife hillsides in Lomond Hills Regional Park (25 minutes), or try archery and axe-throwing at Kinross Activity Centre (10 minutes). Keen on wildlife? You can often see red squirrels near the visitor centre at RSPB Loch Leven (10 minutes).
