Liked: The park warden was friendly
Disliked: We paid for a hard standing pitch and got a sand pitch. The sand got everywhere but was like mud. The people around us kept us up until 2am with music, laughing and carrying on. The men's toilet blocks are disgraceful. Mould everywhere The clubhouse was like a rave with kids running riot and running g about until early hours.

Camping pod
Liked: We absolutely love it at Silver Sands! The pods are brilliant and the park has all the facilities we could need. We will likely be back again.
Disliked: Couldn’t get the wifi to work but it wasn’t an issue as we weren’t there to be on our phones. I’ve rated WiFi down but only because we couldn’t access it.

Camping pod
Liked: It was good value for money and a lovely location. The pod was very nice and warm, always good to go inside after being out in a brisk chilly wind. We used the location more as a base to go out and visit areas around the north east. So the facilites on site were not used much. The beach was very accessible for nice walks. Male shower and toilets were of a decent standard.
Disliked: Female toilets and showers were not of as good standard as the males. They were not lit up 247 like the males and my partner felt a little frightened accessing them at night time. The hot water to the females also didn't seem to be working normally. Overnight, a rabbit had died nearby on site. Very visible, right by a main route on site. Lots of workmen had seen it and ignored all day. Wasn't until much later on that it was removed. Not pleasant to see it lying there for so long.

Liked: Well spaced and quiet pitches. Beach location was beautiful. Facilities like park and arcade were good and music playing in toilet blocks was a nice touch. Staff in the main complex / restaurant were lovely.
Disliked: Reception staff member was unhelpful and offered no information when asked. Website says pool isn’t open until July but it was open, so a missed opportunity. Not enough space or tables in the main complex, was total mayhem with no structure or organisation. When we did get a table we had to stand in a queue for 30-40 minutes to order food and drinks. Toilet blocks had lots of bits not working or broken.

Camping pod
Liked: Well insulated cabin, very cosy. Easy booking and check in, all facilities on campsite that you would need.
Disliked: Bed supports were broken underneath so an uncomfortable night's sleep. Bin also hadn't been emptied when we arrived. Camp facility showers ran hot and cold, and toilets are in need of some maintenance.

Liked: The bar area had a good atmosphere And other holiday makers were friendly and helpful
Disliked: Over charged at bar on 3 occasions always get a receipt , showers were cold had one hot shower , hairdryer was held together with cellotape , smell of raw sewage , toilets broken , toilet doors broken , large waste bins overflowing not emptied , paid for gravel and grass site but landed on a soft muddy area , member of staff annoyed and was talking out of term didn’t look good Spoke to manager on way out and she said she would call back and hasn’t that’s been 12 days now The East beach is beautiful it’s a. Must go while you are there
