Poppy Pig wigwam (ensuite)

Liked: The wigwam was very clean and the location was lovely. There were excellent communications with the owners. They were also very accommodating to my early check in needs. I was even offered a ride to my car. Highly recommend.

Liked: Clean, warm and comfortable accommodation after a very long car journey. Bathroom was very clean, not always the case at campsites! Would have liked to have spent more time at Hilly Cow to enjoy the peace and quiet. Host Lesley came by for a chat in the morning and was lovely.

Liked: Wigwam was very warm & comfortable. Easy access to kitchen facilities. Handy to train station. Lesley was very helpful.

Liked: Pod was comfortable with microwave, fridge and kettle. Private toilet and shower was a bonus. Games room was great fun for the little one. Shared kitchen spacious and warm. Friendly and welcoming owner.

Liked: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff are welcoming and very accommodating and the views are stunning. The Wigwams could do with some hooks to hang coats up as well as in the shower room to hang towels/clothes. Sink in shower room is retro but handle is not practical for washing or filling up kettle with water. That said, we had a fabulous stay!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike!

Drop by Potter Around for craft workshops (10 minutes’ drive), scale the walls at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena (15 minutes) or have a crack at clay pigeon shooting (20 minutes). Slightly more conventional things to do include rifling the racks for bargains at the Livingston Designer Outlet (15 minutes) and visiting the animals at the Five Sisters Zoo (20 minutes). Creatures can also be viewed at Almond Valley, a watermill with a farm park, mini trains and play areas (20 minutes), or at the famed Edinburgh Zoo (half an hour). Stately homes more your thing? Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.
Modifications are subject to a £5.00 fee.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Hired accommodation

Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of £40.00 will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 10 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
Group bookings of 3 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.

Vehicles

No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.

Visitors

Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.

Please leave keys in the unit door on departure. A £10 fee will be charged in the event of any lost keys.

Walking around the farm is not permitted unless it is part of a guided tour. Please do not climb or go on/in any of the farm machinery.
