Gypsy caravan

Liked We did a road trip around Scotland staying in various places like this but hands down, this was our favourite!
Very quiet, friendly owners, beautiful landscapes, lots of farmyard animals running around, driving distance to fun things like the Highland Park!
Plus, the owners really made effort with the small things. We didn't expect to find handy kitchen/cleaning things in drawers, a mini fridge under the bed, the teas and coffees left out!
Our fav part was the cheeky yet friendly goat that kept hiding under the caravan!

Disliked Absolutely nil, no complaints at all!

Local attractions

You won’t have to stray far at all to start exploring the area – National Cycle Route 7 passes very close to the croft and the River Spey is a short walk away for fishing. Golfers can tee off at Newtonmore Golf Club (three minutes’ drive) or Kingussie Golf Club (five minutes), and there’s a canoeing and kayaking tour operator just across the road. Those who like a good uphill challenge should find plenty of options at nearby locations like Ben Macdui, Cairn Toul and the Pools of Dee. Meanwhile, those in search of more leisurely days out can head to the Highland Folk Museum (10 minutes’ walk) or meet native and exotic animals at Highland Wildlife Park (10 minutes’ drive). Fancy a little something to warm up a chilly Scottish evening? Pay a visit to Speyside Distillery (10 minutes; by appointment only) or book a tour of Dalwhinnie Distillery (20 minutes) – either one will allow you to buy a bottle of top-notch whisky to sip back at base.
