Liked: A very different place to stay. Only 2 pitches, but both with electricity. On a working farm with unlimited access to anywhere on the farm. Lots of different animals (we saw sheep, pigs, highland cows, goats, chickens) and owners happy to take time to chat and answer any questions.

Liked: What a wonderful spot! So quiet and beautiful but also an actual proper working farm. The owners were really friendly despite being VERY busy lambing. We were invited to wonder around the barns and saw a lamb born. We stroked the Highland coos and petted the goats too. We cheekily asked to borrow a screwdriver to repair a connection in the van before we left and were quickly accommodated. It's almost off grid with EHU only. (We got O2 4g) But that's not a problem for us, it's part of the charm. There's a great pub and the most stunning beach in Melvich too. Would definitely return!
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: I would just like to thank you all for making us feel so welcome last night on your farm. I loved meeting all the animals, playing with the dogs and holding a newborn lamb. It was a lovely treat for me as I love all animals. Hopefully we will get back up sometime to spend more time on your farm.

Liked: What a fantastic stay we had! Truly nothing we could fault at this campsite. The owners were so accommodating, the site was clean and we got to see lots of farm animals, including lambs that had been born that morning. Thank you!

Liked: Absolutely loved our stay, the best nights sleep we've ever had! The farm is a great experience, it was lovely to see the couple next to our pitch with their young family enjoying their time with the animals too. We loved the little shop and bought some souvenirs as well as sausages which were unbelievably good.
Disliked: No dislikes at all. (This is not a dislike)Please be aware this is a working farm so there will be mud etc but the actual gravel pitch area is spotless

Liked: We loved that it was secluded. It was on a working farm and the farmer showed us around in the morning. We were able to see lambs and calfs that were only a few days old. The farmer was very informative in the morning.he spoke about his farm and in the small office there is information about the history of the farm. There are also different items to purchase with an honesty box to pay for them. It is as close to wild camping that you could get legally.
Disliked: No on site toilet. But despite this we would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Beautiful and peaceful location on a working farm. Water and electric hook-up. Willie and Juanella are lovely and welcoming. We got shown around the farm and to the animals. Willie gave us a lamb to hold! A great experience and would like to return to go fishing and do to full farm tour. They have a cabin you can use to sit and relax in to read or play games. It also has a freezer with farm produce they’ve made themselves - delicious. Other items you may need or want are available too. I’d definitely recommend Kirkton Farm to everyone and can’t wait to come back. Thank you!
