Non-electric grass tent pitch (four person)
Liked: The campsite is suitable for caravans/motorhomes. There is a nice beach nearby that is great for walking. You can also see the Hogwarts Express passing by the campsite twice a day, which is a nice bonus. The area can work well for tents, but you'll want to pitch them away from the bushes. Otherwise, you may encounter issues with midges, as they are prevalent in the area during the May to September timeframe. Interestingly, we spotted both large and small mice near the camping site. It's highly recommended to properly secure your tent to prevent mice from getting inside. Overall, this campsite offers a scenic beach location with the added magic of the Hogwarts Express, but campers need to be mindful of the local wildlife, especially the midges and mice, when setting up their tents.
Disliked: The bathroom and toilet areas, especially for male users, have room for improvement. More frequent cleaning could have helped prevent the messy, watery floors that have been an issue. Regular maintenance and cleanliness in these spaces would be beneficial.

Liked: We liked that we were given a choice of three areas where we could pitch our tent and were able to choose a beautiful spot overlooking Loch Eil. There was a well maintained toilet and shower block nearby and easy access to a supply of fresh water. We found it a great base for exploring the Scottish Highlands.

Liked: Booked a medium pitch, but there was loads of room for my van, awning and a nice sitting area. Views of the loch were stunning. Facilities were clean and tidy, there is even a bath that you can buy tokens for. Burger van is brilliant, wish it was open for longer. Washing and drying facilities are a bit on the dear side but useful if your there for longer periods. Reception has loads of free maps and bus schedules, staff were very helpful.
Disliked: Wi-fi is not great unless you are at the burger van or reception area. We were down at the loch side area T and had no reception at all.
