What customers say

This well-maintained site offers stunning views of Ben Nevis and is conveniently located near Fort William. Visitors praised the clean, modern facilities, particularly the showers, and the friendly, helpful staff. Tent pitches by the river were a highlight. Minor issues noted include shower timer duration and WiFi coverage in some areas, with a few campers mentioning noise concerns during busy periods. Overall, it's highly recommended.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked We’ve just come back from an amazing stay at Ben Nevis Holiday Park and honestly couldn’t fault a thing! From the moment we arrived, the views blew us away – you’re right on the banks of the River Lochy with Ben Nevis towering in the background, so every morning felt like waking up inside a postcard.

The park itself is spotless and clearly really well looked after. Paths, grass areas and facilities are all kept clean and tidy, and the shower and toilet blocks were clean and warm, the only down fall is there isn't enough of them. Our pitch was roomy with plenty of space for the car and awning, and we loved how quiet and relaxed the whole site felt even though it’s only a few minutes’ drive from Fort William.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was easy.

It’s a brilliant base for exploring the Highlands: Glenfinnan, Glencoe, Nevis Range Gondola and even the Jacobite steam train are within easy reach.
We’ll definitely be back, we have sooo much more to explore – it’s one of those places that makes you want to extend your trip as soon as you arrive. Five stars from us!

Disliked Could be doing with a few more toilets/showers for tourers and campers.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked Well maintained park, good reception, cafe and shop for those essential bits if you need them and a variety of meals. Toilets/showers very clean and modern, park has good lighting for the most part on a night.

Disliked For the hookup camping, the amount of pitches and spacing wasn’t very good. A few tents were pitched very close to mine due to lack of space, no privacy. Shower timers are around 10 seconds which seems excessively short.

Local attractions

The owners reckon there’s something for everyone around this site, but walkers and cyclists are especially sorted when it comes to activities. If you’re up for a trek, challenge yourself to one of the trails up Ben Nevis, getting intel on which ones to tackle at the mountain range’s visitor centre, just over five minutes’ drive away. If you’re after a lazier lope, amble along the Caledonian Canal from the locks at Neptune's Staircase (25 minutes’ walk) or get your RDA of exercise by nipping in and out of the shops of Fort William (five minutes’ drive). The town has plenty of stores selling mountaineering kit if you need equipment to try out the more intense pursuits – think skiing and downhill biking – available in the area. For a family day out, make your way to the Glenfinnan Viaduct (25 minutes’ drive) and see if the kids recognise it from the Harry Potter films – the Hogwarts Express was filmed crossing this oh-so-scenic bridge. Saving perhaps the best activity till last, top off your trip by paying a visit to the whisky makers at the Ben Nevis Distillery (15 minutes’ walk) for a few drams of one of Scotland’s finest exports.
