What customers say
This is a large, picturesque campsite with excellent facilities, particularly for families, featuring a fantastic play park, swimming pool, and nearby beach access. Staff are consistently praised for being friendly and helpful. Pitches are generally spacious and well-maintained, with clean toilet and shower blocks. While most guests enjoy the location and amenities, some mention issues with Wi-Fi, occasional noise from other guests, and the need for some facility upgrades. The site is noted for its rural setting, which contributes to poor phone signal but offers a peaceful atmosphere.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Very family friendly, good facilities kept well maintained, although clearly under staffed at times. Pool and changing rooms could do with some maintenance and deep clean but was controlled well and was warm. Really liked the dog run.

excellent site,very friendly,great location,very clean. We'll be back.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Openess of site, we were very well spaced apart from other campers making it feel more natural. Toilets were clean tidy and comfortable, showers were good warm and strong. The local scenery is outstanding with way too many small beaches o the road to site and at it. Pool, cafe and bar all good, providing value for money meals
Disliked not the sites fault, but on the last night it rained, apocalyptically!! our PUP tent got flooded as in Noahs ark sailing away with a pair of bright pink crocs visibly floating LOL. perhaps the site could look into its drainange system to allow for the more often torrential downpours Scotland gets.

Site and facilities just right when we went.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (TV aerial)
Liked Pitch was great. Shower block was clean but can see why, in high season, there may be issues servicing the demand (previous reviews).
Staff friendly.
Did not do bar or leisure centre as not open all the time (went late September).
Lovely beach and walk over headland wonderful.
Some brilliant castles/abbeys to see in area.
Disliked Castle Douglas.

Liked Welcoming male staff on arrival. Very clean site. Toilets and showers and dish wash area very clean. Leisure Club onsite.
Disliked Bit too rural for us. Put on pitch right next to another family when there was lots of empty pitches but staff agreed to.move us when requested ( just a Privacy thing, nothing wrong with pitch).

Enjoyable stay
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely grounds, clean facilities. First time camping with my partner since I was a child and it was a lovely place to visit. We didn’t have time to use the pool but it looked nice.
Showers and toilets very clean. We didn’t use the clubhouse for dinner as seemed pricey but we had a coffee and enjoyed it.
Disliked Nothing we disliked but no signal was an issue for us as we had kids at home so we needed to leave the site to get signal and check in.
