Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Quiet, basic campsite surrounded by nature. I absolutely love this site! The middle of the field is left unmowed as a wild meadow which is alive with the sound of chirping, humming and buzzing as nature should sound. Sunlight dances over the swaying grass heads. This site allows you to get away from the rat race of everyday life. The site, although basic, was tidy and the portaloos were spotless on my visit. There are plenty of walks from this site, close to the monarch's way, bristol to bath cycle track, walks along the River Avon, cotswold way. I will definitely be back!

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Lovely campsite, clean toilets, pitches marked out sensibly with grasses left for butterflies and insects. Very quiet and restful. Buses to both Bristol and Bath just a few hundred yards away. Buses running every half hour. Would definitely visit again.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Just off a main road but very quiet and relaxing. Beautifully thought out field with wild habitat in the middle and pitches around the outside. Got what you need at a generous price. Close to transport for Bristol & surrounding areas.
I was just stopping over and would definitely visit again.

Local attractions

Head half a mile to the Avon Valley Railway for heritage train rides leaving from Bitton and running alongside the River Avon or drive to Kelston Park (10 minutes' drive) and meander around this manor house and its 75-acre grounds. The Avon Valley Adventure Wildlife Park (15 minutes) is a prime pick for combining ambles with animal attractions – this kid-friendly spot is a farm and petting zoo with a playground, small train, go-karts and riverside roams. If your watery walks here have you itching to brave bigger trails, join the Monarch’s Way long-distance route, running 615 miles from Worcester to Brighton, from Bristol (25 minutes). Make sure to check out Cheddar Gorge (40 minutes) on wanders from the park as well and seek out subterranean spots to explore like the family-friendly Wookey Hole cave (40 minutes).
