What customers say
This is a beautifully maintained, tranquil campsite on a working farm, offering stunning rural views and dark skies. Visitors consistently praise the exceptional, immaculately clean facilities, particularly the well-equipped utility barn with plentiful amenities like fridges, microwaves, and flushing toilets. The spacious pitches, friendly and accommodating host, and well-stocked honesty shop are also highlighted. The site is ideal for switching off, with opportunities for stargazing and interacting with farm animals. Most guests found nothing to dislike, though one mentioned noise from a large group.

Oak shepherd's hut
Liked A Little Slice of Heaven at Marshwood Farm
This was our second stay at Marshwood Farm in just a few weeks — and for good reason. We’ve now tried both the Oak and Bluebell shepherd huts, and we absolutely loved them both.
Each hut is beautifully set up with everything you could possibly need — Catherine, our lovely host, has thought of every detail so you don’t have to bring a thing. From the cozy wood burner to the thoughtfully stocked interior, it truly feels like a home away from home.
Each morning, we were treated to a delicious, warm breakfast delivered right to our door in a charming picnic hamper — such a treat to start the day!
The views are simply breathtaking, with peaceful countryside stretching as far as the eye can see. It’s the perfect place to unwind, switch off, and rest your soul.
We can’t wait to return. Thank you, Catherine and family at Marshwood — you’ve created something really special.

Excellent facilities, accommodating hosts and amazing surroundings.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The campsite is beautiful, level pitched, very well kept. The scenery is amazing night and day, just what is required to switch off from the world. The utility barn was an incredible addition. So well equipped and clean, very well maintained and well thought out. It was great to have flushing toilets and showers, both of which were very clean. The honesty shop had everything you could ever need if you had forgotten anything. It was clear the idea had been thought of by people who had camped themselves. The star gazing at night was out of this world. We even saw two shooting stars.
