What customers say
Moor Wood Campsite offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for walkers and those seeking a quiet escape. Visitors frequently praise the immaculate facilities, clean washrooms, and hot showers. Many highlight the excellent location for exploring local woodland and Minehead, though the steep climb back is noted. While most find pitches spacious and well-kept, some mention sloping ground. The site's natural environment, including woodland walks, is a significant draw. Directions to the site, particularly for larger vehicles, are important to follow.

Great small basic quiet hilltop site for solo male traveller
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Was near enough the washroom block for use as I am 70 this year.
Lovely area surrounded by woodland which was handy for walking the dog off lead.
Friendly and helpful couple running it.
Secure gated entry.
Instructions given to avoid very narrow sat nav route as is a better option.
Not too far from Minehead facilities.
Disliked I thought potential improvement could be pitches with level afternoon shade.
A washing machine.
Shower curtains on all showers ( mens ).
A few provisions for sale besides honey.

Electric gravel motorhome pitch
Liked Really enjoyed our stay at Moor Wood Campsite. It was really peaceful & it had an amazing view across Minehead. The site is really looked after well. The location is great to access the SWCP. If you go over the stile behind the showers, walk down to the track & turn left for the SWCP up the hill or right down the hill & it will take you to the edge of Minehead & you can then walk through some old thatched Cottages into town. It is so nice to stay in a campsite that doesn't charge for using the showers or washing up.

Liked Viel Platz. Gute Sanitäranlagen und eine gute Wohnmobilentsorgung. Die Glasplatte sind leider sehr schräg, lassen sich aber ausgleichen.

Lovely campsite
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Beautiful campsite with great facilities. Toilet block and washing up area clean and plenty of water taps. Barrier access keeps site secure. Follow the instructions given by the site to ensure that you access in the best possible way for local residents and to avoid the narrow lanes.

We had a lovely time at Moor Wood and would definitely go again.
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked We had a lovely stay at Moor Wood Campsite. It was a very quiet site, and even with a number of families staying over bank holiday weekend, people respected the 10pm quiet rule. The facilities were fine and the views stunning. It was good that directions to get there were sent before arriving as the lanes are very narrow on North Hill.
Disliked There were ticks on the site, but there are a number of signs warning about this. Three members of the family found ticks on them, but it was very, very hot weather so I don't know if that was a reason.
