What customers say
This is a clean, friendly campsite with excellent facilities, including a warm indoor swimming pool and a well-stocked shop. Guests frequently praise the helpful and welcoming staff. Its location is ideal for exploring Cheddar Gorge and Wells. Pitches are generally good-sized and level. The on-site bar and restaurant offer good value food. Some facilities are noted as dated, but overall, it's highly recommended.

Very good site, few let downs.
Grove electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (large)
Liked Easily accessible, things to do near by. Good recommendations and information provided, good pitch size. Options on site. Dog friendly & dog walk on site. Can park by pitch.
Disliked 2 dogs off lead that ran up to mine. Mine was on a stake lead in the ground and this caused a bit of tension. Although it says dogs must be on lead’s at all times this wasn’t the case. Was a shame.
Children on the site caused a few issues (parents fault), they seemed to be year round not campers.

Would never stay here again. Just a bit naff.
Grove electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked The spacious pitch
Disliked Facilities are a bit tired and outdated.
Pool was very busy for the size of it.
Bar staff a bit unfriendly at the end of the night, just seemed they wanted us to stop buying drinks so they could go home.
Bits of building rubble and broken glass on the animal drove walk.
Dog barking on nearby farm all the way through the night… no over exaggeration.

Needs a huge update and better clientele.

Liked Hedges between pitches. Sadly this is all we liked.
Good location
Nice reception staff
Disliked We stayed here 3 years ago and stayed again this yesr but sadly this is Not the place for us anymore. Very old and dated facilities. The pool area was atrocious with salty water. Gents changing facilities were compareable too being in an old shed. Never saw a cleaner across the park. The bucklegrove advert that we saw at Wookey hole was a misrepresentation of what the place was actually like. The bar staff asked us to leave 30mins before closeing as "it wasn't cost effective to stay open for 2 people". You couldn't drink next to the pool table in a bar?. Used family room to wash 2 year old and had to pay for hot water. Don't do what we did and bring friends as it was embarrassing. There is a handful of item to buy in the reception and its not a shop as such. Laundry room is 1 washing machine that has never been cleaned, rubber seals caked in grey sludge.

Friendly staff.
Definitely stay again.
Disliked Not a dislike but it would be nice to have a small dog exercise area maybe in the tent field.

Grove electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Lovely staff
Amazing location and view
Great campsite
Stopped over here for one night to break up the journey back from Newquay, hard standing pitch was great, well kept bushes dividing the pitches. There is a little play park on site that the kids loved. The proximity to Cheddar caves and gorge is really great, it is a 10 minute drive, and being able to visit there on a stop over was also great! Showers were great, our block had a proper mixer tap and adjustable position head, not one of those silly push button things with a fixed head. Toilets were clean, tidy, and very well kept.
The Maribel plum trees were also a favourite for the kids, you should make jam on site and sell it in the shop!
Disliked Being picky but the swimming pool shut a little early given it is summer (5pm), would have been nice to have it open until 7pm. But it wasn’t a big deal.
