Electric grass campervan pitch
Liked A great little, hidden gem with beautiful, breath-taking views.
On arrival documents were easy to obtain and locate our pitch. All information on the site was well explained and very informative .
Disliked Despite the showering/toilet facilities being super clean they were quite dated, however this didn't impact or hinder our stay.

Clean toilets and showers.…
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Clean toilets and showers.
Disliked Location, it is not too far to the beach by car (around 20 minutes) but walking distance is far, there is no shops, no bar or anything like that, something what looks like a long beach is actually a lagoon and there's no access to it ( it is only from the other camp site). Before I booked it showed me only 6 pitches for a tent available for the weekend. It is a huge camping site and it was nearly empty for the whole weekend, I don't understand why it shows just a few available. The woman at " reception" had to drop her cigarette to give us directions, unclear and moody😳 but hey, £56 for 2 nights in the middle of nowhere it's a bargain 😅🫢🥴 this place didn't meet my expectations, it should be more information available on the internet about the place, distances to any amenities to give more overlook before someone will pick this place and waits the time over there.

From the manager: So sorry your did not enjoy your stay. Wide open spaces are not for everybody. We think the park description describes what it is. A beautiful place in the countryside with fabulous views and links to beautiful walks. There is no claim that there is a swimming beach, just great views and walk to the coast.
“Need a good dose of fresh Dorset air? You'll get exactly that at Sea Barn Farm Camping Park, 15 minutes’ drive from Weymouth – along with spectacular views of Fleet Lagoon, Lyme Bay, Chesil Bank and the Isle of Portland straight from the pitches. In fact, the play area has probably one of the best views along the Dorset coastline – and if you get your timings right of an evening, you’ll hopefully also witness stunning sunsets over the sea.
This 11-acre holiday park is part of a beef and cereal farm with land running right down to Fleet Lagoon, an internationally protected nature reserve and wildfowl haven. It’s about 10 minutes’ walk to the lagoon and the South West Coast Path along the specially created farm walk, which passes a wildlife habitat for bees and birds (please keep any dogs on a lead when on the trail). “

Disliked Showers in the older block were basically unusable.

From the manager: Thank you. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Our older block showers, it does take the hot water a while to run though, so needs to run a few seconds before use. The new block the showers are more spacious.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (sea view)
Liked The campsite itself is absolutely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. They have very strict rules regarding noise, which is fantastic because everyone respects each other’s space and privacy , so you can truly enjoy nature and properly relax. The facilities are of a very high standard – the amenities block includes clean showers, toilets, a laundry room with a dryer, and a dedicated washing-up area. There is also drinking water available on site. Everything you need is right there.
However, the customer service was absolutely shocking. I have never encountered someone so incredibly rude and unhelpful as the woman at the reception. We had a 3-hour drive to get there. After 2 hours of driving (around 6 PM), she called me twice, aggressively stating that if we didn't arrive by 7 PM, the gate would be locked and we wouldn't be let in. The rules did say check-in was until 7 PM, but while I was literally in the middle of driving, she asked me if I wanted to cancel my booking—meaning I would lose my money just because she didn't want to wait or arrange a late check-in for us. On top of that, she sent me an email asking if I would prefer to just change my booking and arrive the next morning instead!
We arrived at 7:15 PM, and it turned out there was an envelope left in the door for us, as well as for three other late arrivals. There was absolutely no need for her hostile attitude, phone calls, and pressuring us while we were on the road.
It’s a wonderful, high-standard site for a peaceful getaway, but the management desperately needs to train their reception staff on basic human politeness and customer care.

From the manager: Hi We are so please you enjoyed our fabulous views,
We did call you once to ask about arrival time, We do have a strict latest arrival time of 7pm, if you are not going to get here before 7pm we can arrange an early check in on the following day. You were obviously unhappy about being reminded of our park rules which are pretty standard for most camping parks,. As per terms stated on this booking platform, Your dog is only accepted on the camping park if it is kept on a lead. 3 times we had to ask you to keep it on a lead. We also had to remind you that flying of drones is not permitted (as with government guidelines, you do need a minimum of the landowners permission) and you also saw fit to trespass around neighbouring farmers fields. A quick check of the countryside code may make your next holiday more enjoyable.

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff
Electric grass campervan pitch
Liked The location and cleanliness
Disliked The fact that the electricity on the pitch was turned off when we arrived so, after about half an hour of trying to figure out what was wrong, we went to another pitch and moved again in the morning. Staff was simply dismissive - there was no apology for the inconvenience, or anything like that. Very unfriendly and unhelpful. For that reason I would never go back to this site.

From the manager: Hi, Thanks for your comment, Your box had tripped. Sometimes happens when being unplugged by last user. Trip just needed resetting. For future reference, just flip the switch back up. We are on site if you had called,
Will not return
Electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Lovely views, clean pitches
Disliked Nothing to do, shop shelves nearly empty, no fresh produce on offer, shower block old and dated, showers not hot and have to keep one hand on the push button at all times or water stops after 3 seconds, nowhere private to undress before entering shower, have to take everything in the shower so gets wet.

From the manager: Hi Thank you for your review. We have 2 shower blocks one newer than the other, but both spotlessly keen. Our new block has a partitioned area for clothes while you are showering, our older block has hooks. Most people undress in the shower area before turning the water on. Shower temperatures are set by our heating engineer to run at a safe temperature for everyone. for some this is too hot, some too cold and some just right, In our new block there is a small temperature adjustment range for customers to use.
If you let us know when you were chatting to staff that the showers were not running long enouth, we could have got the shower time adjusted,. There are several showers for you to choose from .
Our shop is stock with a large selection but a small quantity of each as most people arrive with all they need. The shop is treated as a emergency top up but unfortunately for us, we cannot afford to hold lots of stock that will go out of date.
Please be reminded that we only allow dogs on the farm and camping park that are kept on a lead. You were advised of this before you visit but chose to ignore this. You are obviously not happy about being reminded of this.
Will definitely be visiting again
