Disliked …allerdings gibt es für Campervans KEINE Plätze mit Meerblick, nur für Zelte.
Der für britische Verhältnisse sehr unterkühlte Empfang der Dame im Shop stellte klar: Nein, kein Meerblick. 1. Grund: Das haben Sie nicht gebucht. 2. Grund: dann stünden Sie im Wind. 3.Grund (kurzer Pseudoblick in den Computer): alles ausgebucht.
Wow, der Platz ist quasi leer!

Noch nie haben wir so viele Regeln gelesen wie hier! Noch nie waren die Informationen so falsch. Der Platz wird explizit mit Meerblick!!!

Mit 45 Pfund pro Nacht ein hoher Preis für viele Hecken. Und Regeln. NIE WIEDER!

PS: auf dem langen Regel-Info-Blatt fehlt das WLAN Passwort

From the manager: Hi We are pleased you loved the views, and our lovely clean toilets facilities.
Over the August Bank holiday weekend when you stayed, all our pitches with views were booked out.
Many customers chose to move to more sheltered pitches out of the wind, as it was typical bank holiday weather. We could not let these out in case the sheltering customers wanted to move back to the views they had booked.
We do have a few pitches with views for campervans but these are only available when booked over the phone.
The pictures of campervan pitches shown on pitchup, do not have a view. It is just a few steps to enjoy the views, which are available from many points around the park and our lovely walks. You are welcome to take a chair.
Our park rules, one page in a booklets of maps and useful information, are standard rules for most parks and are a guide to the law, being respectful to your fellow campers and hosts, nothing more.

Liked Lovely clean site, great view, great shower block. Quiet.

Disliked There is no longer an ice block facility for freezing or swapping ice blocks, the children's park could do with updating. Staff aren't overly freezing.

We were open all day each over the bank holiday weekend when you stayed. Shorter hours at quieter times.
Since a supermarket opened just down the road, people come fully prepared so we can no longer stock fresh items without alot of food waste, and as farmers we detest. We provide the basics for camping.
Ice packs, we used to do an exchange, but with covid we realized how unhygienic this was. We now sell frozen bottles of water. No contamination to be passed to your coolbox.

Liked Views, location, facilities and generally the best camp site hence why we usually go 3-4 times a year

Disliked Asked to move pitch for a sea view but was informed area was completely booked up. As weekend went by area wasn't booked up.

Only one available washing machine over a bank holiday wasn't great when you have 3 children, but I'm sure this was out of the hands of the site.

If you request a pitch with a view, then if it is windy, you will be exposed to the weather.
We have many sheltered pitches, where you can get a good nights sleep without worrying about the weather, and walk a few steps to enjoy the view. Best of both worlds. If you had asked to move pitch we could have accommodated you.

Liked Great location, very clean showers/loos and the farm walk was lovely. When we arrived, it was a really windy day and they had no problem switching us to a more sheltered spot, which we really appreciated.

Liked This place was so peaceful, everyone was quiet and just there to enjoy the sea and nature. The staffs have ensured that they maintain the serenity and peacefulness of this place and that is the most attractive part of the whole trip. The toilets and bathrooms were always clean, and less crowded so always had empty and well maintained facilities. Drinking water stations and dishwashing stations were provided which was great and helpful. Will visit this place again.

Liked Lovely location with (if you are lucky) Sea Views. Handy for Chesil Beech, Weymouth, fossil hunting in Pirate's Cove.

Liked We loved the view from the tent it was beautiful.
The site was clean, tidy and well looked after. We only used the top toilets as that was closest to our tent. Showers were lovely and warm, also great the temperature could be adjusted.
Play area was also clean and looked after, my 3 had a great time down there and what a view it has.
I read all the reviews before we picked this site to stay on. A lot of people mention the site rules to be fair they are nothing more than you would expect from any campsite of that nature family friendly and peaceful and nothing we hadn’t come across before. Also the lady in reception gets bad press she was also pleasant and explained where to find our pitch, how to pitch our tent, sticker for the car (which doesn’t have to be stuck anywhere can just lay it on dashboard) and gave us a map& 1 side of side rules and general information. Yes she did ring to see where we were I did pick between 4-5pm to arrive and it was around 6pm but we didn’t know the motorway was shut and it was going to add 2 hours onto our journey when we booked. We should have got there 3.30pm on our sat nav but it wasn’t an issue she rang to check saves her sitting around.
So dark at night kids loved looking at the stars and seeing the bats whizz around over head

Liked Really love the place, its quiet and everyone seems to respect the rule of not making noise which is not in every campsite.
Facilities were great and close to our pitch. A lot of people complained about the sea view that wasn't sea view, tbh you see the sea from anywhere so not quite sure what is the expectation like for some.

There are 2 blocks of toilet and showers, so depending on where your pitch is you have plenty of choice. The one close to the entrance is definitely fancier and the showers works perfectly.

Disliked Not a dislike but just one note, the second block of showers, far away from the entrance, didn't work properly and if more than one people are showering no water is coming out and it's totally cold.
