What customers say
This campsite boasts a fantastic location, a short walk from the beach and town, with many guests highlighting the friendly and helpful staff. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are generally reported as clean and well-managed. The site is praised for its relaxed atmosphere, allowing guests to choose their own pitches and enjoy a car-free environment. While some found it expensive due to a lack of electric hook-ups, others appreciated the cash-only policy and eco-conscious running. A pizza van on weekends is a popular addition. Some minor issues, like shower curtain cleanliness and the absence of toilet brushes, were noted.

Don’t book here!

Liked Nothing, cancelled within plenty of time and good reason. Owners were simply rude and horrible.
Disliked Everything

From the manager: Wow Matthew Harris - that's absurd - after all the favours I was trying to do you? You booked, then cancelled, then you wanted to come again then you cancelled again. We exchanged a dozen e-mails and even though the experience was exasperating for me I was always discounting your booking amount by the amount you had already paid to Pitchup (money that I don't get) as a favour and act of goodwill - and then you go and write this?
You missed out on a great camping experience by your own dithering stupidity - don't blame anyone else other than yourself for mising out. That you have given a 1 out of 10 score to a site you never got your act together to visit tells us all we need to know about you. Time you looked in the mirror Matthew.

Pop up gourmet pizza was great on Friday night.
Disliked Busy, not quiet and relaxing.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (medium)
Liked This was our first time visiting Swanage and we’re glad we chose Bjiou campsite. We love the cash only concept and the facilities on site are great, including hot showers, clean toilets and recycling buckets. The location is fantastic, just a 10 minute walk to the seafront. An added bonus was the pizza van on Saturday night…delicious! We’ll be back for sure.
Disliked The only let down was the cleanliness of the shower curtains and the sink area.

Great stay would definitely return !
Non-electric grass tent pitch (large)
Liked Great site, to negate no electric hookups pumps for airbeds were available for use next to reception. Wheelbarrows made loading and unloading the car really easy. The showers & toilets are basic but what more do you need ! All facilities were clean every time I used them and no annoying queues regardless of time. Really close to the beach which was fantastic and just a short walk.
Disliked Only tiny tiny negative was no loo brushes in the loos ….
