What customers say
This tranquil, secluded campsite is praised for its immaculate, clean facilities, spacious pitches, and beautiful countryside location. Visitors enjoyed the fishing lakes, dog wash area, and on-site amenities like the pizza truck and spa. While most found the site peaceful, a few noted occasional noise from sheep or neighbouring pitches. Some guests felt the distance to amenities and the lack of an on-site shop were minor drawbacks, and suggested more children's activities. Overall, the site is highly recommended for its friendly hosts, well-maintained grounds, and relaxing atmosphere.

Good site but beware of the niggles.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Has all you need to pitch up and helpful staff.
Disliked Small shower block for the amount of pitches and a long walk to the block, could not find a place to drop my gray water without a pipe. Long drive on very narrow roads if you struggle with reversing you would be in trouble.

From the manager: Hi There
Many thank you for your review and your private notes to us in the review to say you struggle with some things that are simple. I completely understand you are entitled to leave a review as you wish but your niggles are very much one off, other than perhaps the distance to shower blocks being 100 metres which can be far for some.
But regarding grey waste, it is quite clearly labelled at the entrance to the shower block that you walk right past, and also with us having 8/9 showers and 8/9 toilets per sex for our size I would strongly disagree that our shower blocks are not capable of the capacity.
Many thanks

Electric grass pitch
Liked Facilities were well maintained and very clean.
Disliked Grass Pitches were dry and cracked. Not great for pitching on. Biggest issue is they have alarmed gates that are locked at 10.30. This meant we missed the local festival fireworks that we were hoping to see during our stay. As the gate had a code on it anyway, the curfew seemed a bit much

From the manager: Hi Jamie
It's a shame you felt the need to leave this review because you missed the fireworks festival. With over half the site going to see the firework festival this prior weekend, I very much doubt the gates were the reason it was missed. Especially with me checking you in and explaining how to get into the site after 10:30 pm. 10:30 is not a curfew, simply just the last entry for vehicles, with there being an overflow car park and pedestrian entry at all times. This is not only for security, but also to reduce noise, and to prevent vehicles' headlights shining in units at ungodly hours.
The cracks are neither a site issue nor a pitch issue; it has not rained since February, meaning the ground is dry...
Kind Regards

Fantastic site hidden away
Fully-serviced grass pitch
Liked Nice big pitches, with our own waste and tap facilities excellent and the dog shower area is great. Security is top notch.
Disliked It is the Dorset hideaway. If it hadn’t have been for the direction signs our satnav would probably not found it. But it wouldn’t stop us returning.

Regarding showers we have two blocks, about 8-10 showers per sex, meaning even in peak bank holiday weekends we have never had any issues.

Beautiful location, peaceful and convenient.
Fully-serviced grass pitch
Liked I liked that we felt secure as you needed a Gate code to access the site and they had security in the evening. The facilities were clean and tidy and easily accessible. The site itself was in a great location to have as a base for us to explore the surrounding areas. There was an enclosed area for dogs to run around and plenty of doggy poo bins around. It's peaceful, lots of families about. Fresh water and power supply near the pitch was also very good.
Disliked There were giant cracks everywhere on the site so the dogs kept on stepping in the holes that were big enough for their whole leg to fit in, we had to make sure no one sat near the cracks as your camping chair would topple over and you had to be careful not to step in a hole and hurt yourself when it got darker out.
The shower cut out after 4 seconds so you had to keep your hand on the button and wash one handed.

From the manager: Hi there
Many thanks for your review. We try our best being a small family-run site.
Regarding the cracks, this is not a site-specific nor pitch-specific problem; it's simply the fact that we have not had any real rain since February (5 months ago), therefore making the ground crack. To fix this problem without rain is simply not feasible.
I can confirm the showers are set to run at the highest time possible for the system, which is between 12-15 seconds.
Many thanks
