  • Quiet Dorset farm in the hamlet of Anderson, just off the A31
  • A 20-minute drive to Dorchester or Poole; 30 minutes to the New Forest
  • Spacious pitches in a grassy paddock; seasonal street food weekends
This pop-up site in Dorset is set in a quiet paddock, where tents and tourers are welcome to settle down on a peaceful farm alongside the resident horses. Located just off the A31 in the hamlet of Anderson, this site is a few minutes' drive from the edge of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and half an hour from the New Forest National Park. This site is a simple back to basics green field campsite with regularly serviced well-presented toilets. Handily, both dogs and barbecues are both allowed at The Red Post Campsite. You'll also be needing food and drinks, of course – this site hosts local street food vendors at certain peak weekends, while if you'd rather go for a DIY approach to meal prep it's an easy 10-minute drive to the large village of Lytchett Matravers, where there's a well-stocked supermarket. Bere Regis' post office and pubs and Bulbury Woods Golf Club are similarly close by. All of this is within a 20-minute drive of the beaches of the Jurassic Coast or Dorset's county town, Dorchester, where there's a bevy of family-friendly museums and Maiden Castle, one of the largest hillforts in Europe.
