  • Small, quiet and dog-friendly site on a Devon family dairy farm
  • Bideford, Clovelly and Milky Way Adventure Park within 15 mins' drive
  • Flat and spacious pitches sheltered by mature hedgerow
All the essentials have been sorted at Stroxworthy Farm Campsite – pitches at this Devon family farm site are flat, spacious and south-facing to make the most of the day’s sun. They’re also surrounded by a mature hedgerow, so there’s plenty of shelter if the weather doesn’t feature so much sun… Facilities have been similarly well done – guests at this small site have access to two toilets, a shower, a washing-up sink and a small shed for recycling and rubbish disposal. As facilities may get busy at peak times, you're welcome to bring your own toilet and washing facilities. You’re also welcome to bring dogs along as long as they’re kept on a lead on site. There are plenty of places to walk them nearby on footpaths or through the forest, as well as a dedicated dog-walking field on site. Life here is all about enjoying some rural time – the site has spectacular views over the Devon landscape (reaching as far as Dartmoor on a clear day) and dark skies for some excellent stargazing on clear nights. As it’s a working farm your neighbours will be the herd of predominantly Friesian and Brown Swiss cows that live on site (they’re milked by the sixth generation of the same family to farm here). Hiding away here down a little private lane you’ll feel like you’re well away from all civilisation, but in fact the village of Woolfardisworthy is five minutes’ drive away (for an excellent village shop, pub and dairy selling fresh milk) and the A39 Atlantic Highway is three miles away. Eyeing up the South West Coast Path too? This is a prime spot to head out to different stretches of the path in north Cornwall or north Devon. The site is also only a 10-minute drive away from Buck's Mills, where there is a car park with access to the path.

What customers say

A small, adults-only site offering peace and quiet with stunning countryside views. Pitches are level and spacious, with electric, water, and waste disposal. Facilities are consistently described as clean, well-maintained, and warm, including a shower, two toilets, and a washing-up area. The owner, Jane, is frequently praised for her warm welcome and helpful local information. A large, enclosed dog exercise field is a significant bonus. The narrow, rural access roads are the only recurring minor concern.

Croft field fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Very rural & very quiet place to stay. Amazing views. Lovely welcome from the owner, who took time to chat with us & made us feel welcome. Great basic facilities, very clean & very warm.

Disliked Not a dislike as its not a reflection on the site, but a warning to others the roads leading to & from the site are extremely narrow & full of horrendously deep pot holes, we lost a wheel trim somewhere along the way!!. The owners do explain this on the emails, but be prepared.
